Tough luck Kiwis. Watched it in a bar full of NZers and they were generally incredibly gracious. Hate to see that amount of controversy. Boks seemed to freeze when they had the opportunity to kill the game and the ABs were immense in the 2nd half.

SA have played there hand... lets see if the AB's respond in kind.
There's going to be a lot of 'South African timeouts' with water bottles and fatties lying on the ground sucking in the big ones.
That makes little sense given we basically have 2 full packs.

Matfield should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Etzebeth. The former was good at lineouts, period. No ball skills, no grunt and in his last world cup was a passenger who ambled around after the ball missing tackles. Etzebeth is both Bakkies and Matfield in one plus more. Matfield was indee...

I’d like to see Dan du Plessis pushing for a Bok spot next year. Thought he was close to the Stormers’ best player last season. Dan would have been handy in the current Bok setup, playing 12 or 13. Interested in seeing Stassen back from his ban. He was a beast at the Bulls but I have to assume that was largely because of the doping.

Good call to get Pollard back in as soon as possible. There’ll more than likely be more injuries ahead of the knock outs so they can always call in another hooker if needed. Clearly they’re confident that Fourie is back up to speed there.
