Re: Kidney Out.

Well coming on here after a few days is as depressing as I imagined it would be- Tomas O'Leary...would you ever fudge off Declan I was sitting behind the south goalposts when Earls made his break in the second half; a four on two overlap with two-thirds of the width of the pitch in which to execute...

Re: Kidney Out.

A mess. Whatever about the disaster of the scrum, what struck me most was the collective dropping of heads once it was clear that platform was lost. It was an unpleasantly eloquent measure of their self belief these days. Ireland look so tired and one dimensional against sides who identify a weaknes...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

That would upset me actually, Hellraiser. I'm a big Wallace fan, but if POM can't get HEC starts next season, he should leave for a place that will take a chance on him. Nagle too, but that's all for another thread. He will definitely start, just the number on his back in question. For sure, but I ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

I'd have SOB back for England. Having said that, if POM keeps improving at this rate, I doubt O'Brien will be able to keep him off that side of the scrum by the end of next season. Person I see losing out in that scenario would be Heaslip.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

There won't be any changes for Sunday. This unfortunately, Murray and DOC will both undoubtedly start regardless of how Reddan or Ryan performed. Form and impact on a game are irrelevant. This would be disappointing, it must be said. Whatever about the merits of one 9 vs another, Ryan palpably made...

CM.

Kidney does see Foley as a peer. No question. On reflection however, giving him decision making status at the outset probably would not wash. Either way, I don't think his presence will diminish anything.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Re selections and Foley. Speaking from a mite of experience, the man is quite ruthless and utterly unsentimental. He does not do encouraging words after plucky losing performances, quite the opposite. And he won't have a hand in favoritism unless it's warranted. His analysis sessions are no fun if ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Think I'm gonna watch this one from behind the chaise longue, as I expect us to be chasing the scoreboard from early on. On a plus thought; I can't see how the defensive mess in the midfield will have been left unaddressed. They simply can't be asked to stand off that much again. Surely. That should...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Bowe, i suspect, saw what was coming early on when the Welsh started stacking the short side and no one seemed to be interested in covering in any hurry. He was waving his arms about like a windmill. Shortly after, Wales were in for a fully deserved first try. If I were Bowe I would have spent the r...
