He's only started one fewer test at 14 than at 15, so I'm not sure he's out of position on the wing.Peteray wrote:I'm pretty sure Bender's 'form' has eroded as a result of his playing out of position on the wing. He is probably still the most complete fullback.

I thought the midfield was set as 12.Crotty 13.ALB 23.SBW. But after seeing the Italy selection which was 12. ALB 13.Goodhue 23.SBW I'm not so sure now. The team for Italy was never announced? A team was published as the supposed line up for the game. Looked pretty likely. Midfield of ALB, Goodhue ...

Not enough has ever been made of the number of bogans that entered the fray just to be involved in a bit of debauchery. It's always made out that it was simply a fight between good and evil or right and wrong - f**king bullshit it was. True. Certainly by the Athletic Park test the first couple of r...

Played in a Curtain Raiser there in '93. The Main Game was Wellington Lions v Northern Transvaal, who had come over for a Super 10 warm up game. 3:30pm NZT. Assuming they go full strength, I'd like to see something like this: 15. B Barrett 14. Reece 13. Lienert-Brown 12. Crotty 11. Bridge 10. Mo'unga 9. Smith 8. Read 7. Cane 6. Savea 5. Re: RWC: Pool B: All Blacks vs Italy: MATCH THREAD: Sat 12th
To me the only selection questions left are: (a) Coles vs Taylor - they played 40 mins each vs SA so probably not much difference who starts tbh, I assume it'll be Coles. (b) Crotty vs SBW - Crotty got the nod against SA (albeit with SBW lacking game time) but SBW has looked good in the pool stages...

That's probably because the selectors realise Lam's defence is nowhere near international standard. The foul play is all pretty innocuous. Strange Read's one isn't in there, easily the most blatant of all the incidents I've seen, but still just a penalty. Really? I think Moody's cheap shot on Marx deserved at least a yellow card. He has a disappointing propensity to play the man off the ball, whi...
