Re: Name Ideas
It's not likely to be anything involving the name of the team, Harey's contribution aside. It is more likely to be something that all three unions can relate to, something or someone iconic from the team's history. Well just name it for the three things each of the three regions are individually no...

Back when the New Orleans Saints were terrible in the NFL, their fans used to wear paper-bags over their heads so they couldn't be recognised as Saints supporters and started calling them the Aints. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.streetlevel.com/media/2010/03/saints.jpg http://photos.imageevent.com/afap...

It appears it is now acceptable for a man to purchase jewellery for another man... And I didn't believe them when they said same- sex marriage would destroy the foundations of society as we know it, with terrible consequences.

Census was in a bunch of my classes at school - he's more kiwi than 'fush and chups'. He was a well liked class clown, but also a hard wit kant. Pretty sure he got expelled when we were about 14 though. Not sure how many generations kiwi he is, but he had barely no hint of an Island 'accent'. ...

I mostly like simulation and strategy games like Civ and Crusader Kings. I played CivIII for 6 hours yesterday, but I'm just not used to having an out of date computer that can't run modern games. I got it for nothing and my laptop is f**k, so why not? I might put my 4g of ram from my laptop in it....

Re: Life ban for an 11 year old?
As Demilich says, a lot of the refs in junior rugby these days, certainly in Auckland, are young fellas. Teenagers not much older than this 11 year old. The young age of the referee is considered a major aggravating factor when junior rugby players come before the judiciary. A life ban is certainly...

At least not all is lost as you quoted it so the page took even longer to load. Only milliseconds longer though, as the gif itself is cached and loads once. But this makes it three posts without adding gifs, which is getting close to the limit before someone expresses proper outrage. So all is not ...

I'll be more than happy to pull on the boots at any opportunity overseas. Though I don't know if I can justify the space they'll take up in the 22 litre pack that will be all my worldly possessions. Might need to reduce the number of pairs of undies from two to none.

How big must this 11 year old be? Not sure whether it's the same up in Auckland these days, but all the kids games down in the BoP I've watched this year have been reffed by kids a year or two older than those playing. Been quite impressed. Particularly impressed by the fact that the couple of time...

Last Game of rugby
So after almost 30 seasons I may have played my last game of rugby/league. House is on the verge of selling, which will see me moving towns for a short while before moving overseas, so it is unlikely I will play at senior level again (maybe pressies/masters one day). While I still feel like I have a...

I see from his profile that he was a Bulldogs U20 player for 2 years. Does anyone know the reason why he went back to Palmerston North and rugby? It seems a curious career trajectory. He likely would have gone to the Bulldogs for the cash that was available to an U20s player and then come back to r...

Some people are going to bitch but NZ cricket are only trying to maximise their earnings by giving the majority of people what they want. Normally I would agree with the "go with the money" sentiment for NZ cricket. But in this case, I suspect they have horribly misread the current interest levels ...
