Re: The OFFICIAL replacement IRISH OLYMPIC BANDWAGON THREAD
That's five medals coming home to Northern Ireland Lovely seeing Ireland on the shirt, the tricolour as the flag, and Amhráin na bhFiann as the national anthem. See how good we are together. I was thinking that since your contribution has been a drugs cheat and a freak female boxer it would be bett...

I'm not arguing that point with you. Are you really saying that a ban for a non performance enhancing drug administered in error and acknowledged as such by the authorities is as bad as a cyclist intentionally doping to gain an advantage? Whether something is intentionally ingested or accide...

We've only 3? I know Barnes is still to come but not counting chickens and all that... Thats true, but Barnes was v good in his last 16 so fingers crossed. 4 out of 6 to medal would be fantastic. Even if it is 3/6, that is still great too. Never know with Rob Heffernan or Olivia Loughnanne in the w...

Can't see John Joe winning the semi final. Those Cubans are brilliant fighters JJ needs to call him out. The Nevins have a reputation as pretty decent scrappers too. My wife was told they plan to close the pubs in Mullingar if he wins- by jaysus they hate that family down there. This is true. The N...

Re: The OFFICIAL replacement IRISH OLYMPIC BANDWAGON THREAD
Harsh decision imo. I don't think the points difference was that large. I thought he had the lead in the 1st round, it was even in the second and the Irish got the lead in the last one. His first round should have made the difference in his favour imo but that's just my 2 cents. For the record, the...

Unless the parameters for world class athletes has extended beyond all recognition I can say with some clarity that she isn't one of them... That said she's worthy of a few quid.. Thought Lacey was very impressive again, he is some footballer. McFadden does some job in the lone role up front. Will be interesting to see how Donegal's defence stands up to Cork trying to run through them. Might not be the prettiest of games but imagine it will be very very close. Don't fancy Do...

Re: The Offical GAA Thread
It would be interesting to see a team come up against Donegal and say "Right, two can play that game"! Would be the worst game of football ever mind, bad enough when one team does it. It happened last year. Dublin v Donegal Donegal got all the criticism but Dublin were every bit as negative. They l...
