I don’t understand the doom and gloom. There is a lot to take away from the Welsh performance. At times the French looked very jittery in defence.

Can't keep picking POM, he's an old man. Yesterday was a replay of the NZ game- he can't hang in there when the opposition is fully up for it. The entire pack got stoved in but he's supposed to be the talisman and enforcer. Think after the SA tour he's gone Should be after Scotland tbf He is a bum ...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Very obvious from Ben Earl's post-match comments that this was a hyper-charged emotional performance, they were clearly channeling the same backs-against-the-wall, "nobody gives us a chance" mentality that they had in the World Cup SF https://twitter.com/ITVRugby/status/1766536823197532428 I'd be c...

Re: All Blacks 3 Rugby World Cups From 10 Attempts. Chokers Or Underachievers? Time To Play Like The Boks?
No oh dear about it. They could easily have gone the All Black's way... Flip of a coin. But it would change nothing... only a couple of games. Bryce Lawrence Exactly! Wayne Barnes. History could look so different. But it isn't really... is it? Even if those flip of a coin matches went differently.....

Plus 95 and 2023 could easily have been NZ victories. Then NZ would have 5 and SA 2. So but for a missed kick, history suddenly looks a lot different... When really it shouldn't. oh dear No oh dear about it. They could easily have gone the All Black's way... Flip of a coin. But it would change noth...

Re: All Blacks 3 Rugby World Cups From 10 Attempts. Chokers Or Underachievers? Time To Play Like The Boks?
I mean it's not rocket science. The AB's play generally an open fast paced game to blow teams off the park, which works well most of the time. However in RWC games were refs become more pedantic and teams more conservative this tactic doesn't work as well. Still won three of the things though, so d...

Re: Are the Springboks vs Ireland the mini WC this year?
Pity it wasn't a three test series. Interesting to see will Ireland have a high altitude camp to prepare for Pretoria instead of the usual Portugal warm weather camp. Apparently also an autumn international test between Ireland and SA, so could well be a decider in Dublin! Nice, good way of decidin...

Re: All Blacks 3 Rugby World Cups From 10 Attempts. Chokers Or Underachievers? Time To Play Like The Boks?
The ABs have won 3 world cups Hardly a failure, by any measure Statistically, not a failure compared to the Boks, with 4 in the same time period Besides which, it’s deadset, not dead set. Is the OP a bot? wrong AB's 30% success rate [3 out of 10]- with 2 of those being at home Boks 50% [4 out of 8]...

Trampoline park owners fined after 11 people broke their backs at Flip Out Chester All the injuries occurred while people used the park's "tower jump" - where they dropped more than 17ft into a foam pit. Re: 2024 "SA Rugby Factory" Varsity Cup
Maties fully deserved the win. They played very well against a strong wind in the second half. The disrupted the Ikey lineout the whole night. Windy conditions makes it difficult for backline play. Ikeys had chances to win but the Maties defended very well. I heard that some or other safety officia...

all this crap started when Australia selected props who were incapable of scrumming. Bill Young, Matt Dunning etc. Armed only with a scowl and no other physical scrumming abilities they merrily went about collapsing scrums, losing their bind etc etc for reset after reset.

Re: Ball in Play
Currently Lay 19.4 states: Teams must be ready to form the scrum within 30 seconds of the mark being made. Sanction: Free-kick. Found that interesting. Maybe just enforcing existing laws around the scrum will have some unexpected positive effects. Law 19: Scrum I never realised how detailed the scr...
