Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
That’s a bit disingenuous. Lolesio is kicking about 100% this year. Lonergan would be the second best kicker in Oz rugby. Sure mate. I bet there’s some real analysis behind that statement…… how often have you actually seen Lonergan kick? Last year he kicked 7 penalties and 14 conversions. That’s no...

Re: Waratahs vs Crusaders Match Thread
I’m just watching the Stan mini game. Saders score their last try with 78:32 on the clock buy the clock doesn’t stop. Berry asked the TMO when the fry was scored. They take the kick at 80:01, which is obviously more than 60 seconds, right? As the ref is the sole judge of time, and it seems he unders...

Re: Waratahs vs Crusaders Match Thread
Which means deep down in his soul Berry hates the Tahs.
Imo Nic Berry is one of the best refs in the world atm. I don’t think we realise how high the standard of refereeing is in SR, with the notable exceptions of Damon Murphy and the director of the the games on SkyNZ.

Re: Waratahs vs Crusaders Match Thread
Anyway, I'm sure proud former Waratah Nick Berry's bizarre 81st minute intervention earned him a few free beers at the post game function from his 2014 teammates. That would be quite the achievement, since Berry never played for the Waratahs Bitter pill to swallow, for you, I’m sure. :( My bad. I t...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
 Anyone who watched the NRC likely saw Lonergan nailing kicks from all over the ground… Well, you have me there. Along with 99% of the rest of Australian rugby fans, I didn’t watch the ACT team in the NRC because it sucked. Yeah, nah… most of us did. Just you and some RM Williams types in Sydn...

Re: Waratahs vs Crusaders Match Thread
The worst are SMH/other media rugby trolls desperately trying to denigrate the Tahs win. They have even trolled an article about the sale of TG Miller field, Eastwood rugby club being sold off to developers as a good result to eradicate an "elite" sport. Rugby wasn't even mentioned in the article. ...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Lonergan if we have a non-kicking 10 and 15. Fines should be reserve 9 because he is very good against tired legs. Lonergan isn’t the best kicker in his club team. That’s a bit disingenuous. Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
The way I see it a lot of positions are wide open and only following are certain: 1. Bell (if fit) 2. Faessler 3. Alaalatoa 4. Frost 5. ? 6. 7. McReight 8. Valetini (or maybe 6) 9. ? 10. ? Kellaway on the wing or at fullback Of your certainties, Bell is out and AAA hasn’t played a game in 10 months...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Agree. But I think he will go conservative vs Wales which would be Lolesio. Yeah. The conservative route is White/Lolesio. I’ve outgrown my man-love of White. He is a brilliant playmaker. But in the process he takes the actual play maker out of the picture. Time to move on. I’m in camp-Tate now. I’...

We'd won the game. We were ahead and the ref explicitly said we could run the clock down til full time.
How do you conspire to lose from that position?
Rivez Reihana, what the f*ck?
Congrats Tahs, never gave up and never made it easy.
Good man.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Will Harrison has played about 36 minutes of rugby in the past two years, and he is now our future saviour? We’ve lots of promising youngsters. Until then, it’s probably Lolesio to man the holds. OK. So we’ve got Lolesio in the squad, then Anyone else? Two of Quade, Foley, Harrison, Donaldon and CG.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I thought both Salami and Foketti were good tonight, which is a relief considering we are weak at 12 without Kerevi.b Kerevi not expected to be in Wallabies this year? Mind you he was poor last year so maybe he's past his best. He’s just turned 30, which is 22 in Fijian years. Last year he was just...

Re: SRP Rd 8 - MP v Reds
Tate was so dumb. I don’t rate him as a captain anyway. I wasn't expecting that from Tate. He's not normally a dirty player is he? It’s possible that the oppo player had it coming and that Tate wasn’t looking when his arm accidentally struck the other man, and that he didn’t mean it, and that worse...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I’m sure glad that I decided to drive the Lachie Swinton love train earlier in the season. That was back when the dudes on the Roar wanted Uru at 6, Charlie Cane, etc at 6. I guess I qualify as a visionary but I wouldn’t use the term myself. It’s almost as bad as ‘thought leader’. It’s better to be ...

They're celebrating like they have won Super Rugby in the aftermath on Stan right now. Zero self awareness given their lowly position on the table. Just elated to beat the Crusaders I guess. Keep the tears coming. It’s good to let it out. And don’t the Tahs always beat the Saders? They’re basically...

Absolutely. I wasn't sure if the kick off was mandatory but if it wasn't, the Saders shat the bed there. One of many shits. The Tahs are f**king aweful, but the crusaders are worse. No doubt the Aus media will trumpet yet another new dawn for the Tahs like they did round 2 or whatever. Needles to s...
