Re: NZ Women’s Rugby Catchall Thread

About the best the Blues can put on the park, although I see Fisher has been dropped entirely out of the match day 23. Itunu gets just reward for a bat storming couple of weeks and deservedly starts. Puckett returns to halfback but Awa has had an excellent season and I wouldn’t have minded her start...

Re: NZ Women’s Rugby Catchall Thread

Chiefsaders seriously pissed that they have to play in Auckland. This is a formidable team. Tubic hasn’t played much top level rugby in nearly 12mths though so although she’s their first choice first five, she’s well short of match fitness. Semple drops to the bench. Edmonds also had a strong season...

Andrew Hore, Blues CEO, responds to criticism of the timing of the final at Eden Park. "Get f**ked, it's not our fault. This schedule was set before the NRL schedules were set. Anyway, name me one wanker who attends Warriors games who would've gone to a womens rugby match in their life? None. So get...

Re: War in Ukraine...

I understand the main argument against further mobilisation is economic. They need their younger population to work and pay taxes to fund the war in the long-term. There’s also a military aspect to it as they’re also relying on them to lead the innovation industries for the military to gain a techno...

I don’t think he’ll have a go in a direct way. He’ll be amping up the cyber stuff and working the algorithms. Working on the American public and politicians like he’s done with Ukraine. The objective is to sell them the story that America doesn’t need to intervene in the Baltics, “leave it to the Eu...

Whatever the economic reality and military capacity of Russia, it won’t stop Putin (or a like-minded successor) doing exactly what he’s done in Ukraine. The political objectives will always trump all else. Who is going to stop him domestically? The opposition parties? They don’t exist. Moldova, Geor...

Re: Official 2023-24 “HSBC SVNS” International 7s Series Thread

What happened to Kenya? I remember about 10 years ago they were one of the top teams. Golden generation retired. Some true 7s greats among them like Collins Injera. Willy Ambaka and Humphrey Kayange were also great players. However, Injera is in a class of his own in terms of longevity and impact f...

Re: NZ Women’s Rugby Catchall Thread

Ridiculous for the paltry crowd they’re gonna get but probably more out of tradition and Eden Park probably pushed for it to add to its PR campaign in Auckland’s stadium wars

Although Marty Devlin and Jason Wall aren’t happy as it conflicts with the Warriors and club rugby.

AB7s 10-7 FRA - FT

Score flatters the French. NZ dominated possession & territory. However, it was a hard fought defensive battle. Finally see some defensive steel from the men’s 7s programme.

Is Dupont injured? He might well have made a difference.

NZ 19-12 FIJI - Qtr-final

Justice for the failure of the ref to yellow card the Fijian high tackle. Nga Shiu has had an excellent return to the colours this weekend after a long injury lay-off.
