I saw her play a couple of years ago in Edinburgh, it was great seeing a legend like her live, although she couldn't hit the notes like the old days and tbh, it was a bit like watching your drunk old aunt dancing. Glad I saw her though.

I've enjoyed the Bernie Gunther series by Philip Kerr, basically a cop/investigator set in ww2 amidst some of the bigger events. Enjoyed the Forgotten Soldier, but wasn't it a fake? Good read all the same.

I have a vague recollection from JW's biography the drop goals were Woodward's idea to keep the scoreboard ticking over? Tedious as fudge to watch a game based on points from droppies, unless it's your team winning through them, of course.
