Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
What a pile of shite. We are going to get reemed come ruck time. Toner is a tryer, but he does not get anywhere near low enough or hit hard enough. Dropping Marshall has honestly pissed me off so much. How do players get test experience then? Fucks sakes. Him being the only player to get it in the n...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
BOD has a 2 on 1, but he's already committed himself to 1 of the 2, so somebody's free if Cooper passes outside. You can see that Marshall is a step or 2 behind Madigan and BOD, in a reverse banana. You normally expect the curve of the middle 3 to be outwards towards the attack, not inwards, toward...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Madigan obviously didn't do well. But the picture makes it clear he was covering 2 men. And there's a f**king huge gap to his right, what is going on there? If Marshall makes that tackle and Cooper gets the ball away then BOD has a 2 on 1 as well. I mean it's not totally clear cut either way. In my...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Just on Against the Head, it is such a waste of an hour. I want to see some proper analysis of play. Clips of defence and attack patterns and where they are going right and wrong. I already had 60 minutes of shitetalk about the game in the pub, I can do that myself. Matty and Franno are sorely misse...

I will jump from the the top tier of lansdowne if that happens, into, what i assume will be, a heavenly sea of my fellow countrymen & women's hands as im carried in a euphoric wave of pshun, honestly, and groping of my lovely balls.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
A tale of two defences for me. We were so soft in our line speed (what line speed?) compared to the Ozzies who gave us absolutely no time on the ball whatsoever. This resulted in either panicy kicks, rushed passes, getting turned over or giving away penalties for holding on. On the flip side, Cooper...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
So Ulster are losing 3 of our first choice front 5. Humph better be recruiting well. Has he let anyone down yet? Ulster have been struggling with back up 10s since Humph Jnr fupped off. I'll be very dissappointed if Court goes. With Aofa already set to leave that leaves our front row options far to...

On reflection, it's a B for the first episode of the Joe Show. I'd give him a B-, but it was his first international game so a bit of leeway given. Remember this time last year we tore the hole out of a disinterested Argentina side. We really need to give the lads a decent few games before we start ...

I'd say we are just feeling a bit fragile after that mare of a 6 Nations. I'm really looking forward to the team selection and am feeling confident going into the weekend. Hoping the injuries are not serious however. The 6Ns showed what a few of those can do. Need O'Brien, BOD and POC all firing. Th...

Leinster fans will know better, but I have never honestly noticed Dave Kearny in a game and though "wow, that was great play." When Joe was appointed though I thought Trimble's Ireland career was in trouble, but because he would miss out to Ferg. Both physical players that give 100% every game. McFa...

In fairness to Boner, he has been consistently decent for a while now. I just dunno if he's got the mean streak for Test rugby. As a weedy back, he was the kind of 2nd row i loved tackling. That Saracens game was a ballbreaker. When the draw was made it was game on, but the closer we got to it, the more momentum Sarries built and the more Ulster's season seemed to be falling away with poor form and injuries. Was a very frustrating game to watch. All Saracens needed to do was make their...

I really thought both 10s had good games. PJ is a very tidy player. 10 is a tough spot on the pitch but I'm delighted ulster have him. Excellent in defence. I think we need to concentrate on the positive aspects of our young Irish players.
Won't get to see it again but it was a cracking game.

There's a development of nondetached houses when you're coming onto the M1 from Swords Airside direction. There must be about 60 houses in a line without a bit of space between them.
Drives me up the wall. They could have been nice with a bit green between them.
