Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Jesus wept lads.

We had a bad day at the office against an Oz side who were desperate for a result.

A lot of fringe players got their chance or improved their standing and they’ll all be going back to their provinces with stuff to work on.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Australia have a lot of very good athletes and experienced halfbacks and they were very smart about disrupting our attack. All in all, a pretty good window with some decent stuff and a lot learnt about the fringe players. McCarthy will be back to the drawing board and hopefully sharpen himself up ar...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

There are a lot of very high profile pundits and ex players hyping Crowley, it seems like a lot of them think he could be next.

We only change our tens every decade or so and it looks like he might be next.

He's already won three Pro 14 championships, and been at the business end of the HEC a couple of times. WTF would he want to move ? Timoney moved North, improved dramatically, was one of the best players on the pitch in Ulster's win over Leinster in March, and is starting at 7 against Fiji tomorrow...

Herring was delcared third choice hooker on the Prime commentary, shortly before they pointed out he has played in 6 of Ireland's last 7 games and scored in the Third Test against the ABs.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Hume was very clearly the form 13 in Ireland at the end of last season and is only just back from injury. Unsurprising to see him getting thrown under the bus when he was playing between two Leinster lads. He is going to continue to feature. Balacoune will have done himself a lot of favours at the w...

Re: Ireland A v NZ A - 4 Nov 7.45pm (Ire); 5 Nov 7.45am (NZ)

The first Maori game was poor, the second one much better. First AB game poor, second and third much better. We're reliant on systems, timings etc working as our skills still aren't at AB level, even if they're a lot better (our tries were quite nice, tbf). I'd see today as a complete system failur...

I think with the whole stomach bug thing, the wind in the second half and agent Frank, things could be very different second half.

Munster could be going alright but the error count has been crazy.

Northern Irish is not a nationality. Northern Ireland isn't a country.

It is a descriptor of where you come from.

Those are facts, even when typed by me.

We can be both British and Irish, but we can't call that being Northern Irish because it was banned in the GFA.

Fair play to the Wasps fella for speaking out and being so honest but some of the delusions are still there.

There are two inherent problems in English rugby, too many clowns with delusions of grandeur and a complete lack of discipline from the RFU.

Ukraine are giving Russia a lot of problems with a smart and highly motivated volunteer army and some carefully selected American weapons systems. Unless Putin has completely lost his mind he will understand the Americans would finish them off in a couple of weeks.
