Re: Achtung car types...please help with (not a) mid life cr
Two types of convertible... small roadster types that should be lightweight and steer well, and bloated luxury posing cars. The best small roadster for <5k is definitely the MX5, but is a bit hairdresser. Superb car though. If you like tinkering then you can also turbo charge it for extra fun. Any s...

I guess for it to be considered liberation they'd need to f*ck off again afterwards, not linger and install a puppet government and insist they join your military/economic bloc.

Hulk, Stroll, and Sainz all pick up a reprimand. That's telling them (I actually have some sympathy - without the tow these 3 all effectively had no chance). I expect the reason it's only a reprimand is that they didn't actually break any written rule. As long as the lap they ended up doing was wit...

Re: What Headphones?
If you're just listening to standard mp3s via phone you can get away with any £10 pair of shitty headphones. Quality kit only matters if your sound source is worth a damn, even 320 kbps mp3s don't really warrant a spend of more than £30 if going through your phone. Your upper limit of £200 is massi...

Re: What Headphones?
I recently bought some B&W PX noise cancelling headphones. Most reviews have the Sony & Bose noise cancelling headphones are the best. I rarely use the noise cancelling feature, as the isolation of the over ear cups is more than good enough to not really notice ambient noise anyway. I'd agree with t...

Well with that sort of attitude I hope you're doing something to offset their carbon footprint by buying a Nissan Leaf as your next car or planting a couple of extra trees in your garden and reducing the number of plane flights you travel on each year you own them? I'm doing my bit by working from ...

Dogs are great to have around, especially for the kids. My two boys love our two dogs. I prefer bigger dogs, as they're less hassle as long as you can train and handle them. My two are about 72Kg and 53Kg. And I don't give a sh*t about their carbon footprint. And I would never refer to them as fur ...

A reminder that while this might be funded by the licence fee, the BBC is still having to deal with the lost money from the govt reducing the contribution from the DWP. There's only so many cuts they can make. They have to make more money. Boo hoo. The BBC makes very little decent content, certainl...

I get about 16Mbps up and about 65Mbps down from my laptop, and that's with 12 devices currently connected, 2 kids gaming, and I'm watching a 4k stream. I suspect the 65Mbps is the wifi bottleneck; a speedtest from my NAS which is wired to the router gives 85Mbps. More than enough for normal use. Hi...

Re: Anyone know about GoPros, video editing, etc?
If you do plan on shooting handheld then a 3-axis motorised gimbal will remove most of the shakiness. I have 3 of them, and the smoothness of video is streets ahead of shooting handheld. The reason broadcast footage shot by the guys running around the side of rugby pitches is smooth is that the came...

How about having a red card result in the player concerned being subbed, and the infringing team having to run 20 circuits of the pitch while the other team have a drink and some oranges.

I'd assume it could also be possible that some tests don't get immediate results, so I'm guessing it's plausible that adverse test results could be available after the fight when the samples are taken just before.
