Re: Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

That incident with George North was faintly amusing but I hope you're not resting your case on it. I wonder if the few NHers that I predicted would have a little cry also (as I predicted) do not watch Super rugby? Not that it has anything to do with his skills but Brown also comes across a bit of fu...

Re: Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

Coaches say all sorts especially in the lead up to a game. Was it just before a game Brown was actually playing in by any chance?

This season Izzy has really set himself apart. Averaging 2 tries a game in an average side.

Re: Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

Maybe better in the air, but Brown outdid Kearney in the air in the 6N which isn't easy. He also did far more damage in the Eng vs Aus game than the other way round, including a beauty of an up and under where he caught the ball over Genia's head. I don't think there's another FB out there at the m...

Re: Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

His kicking game is non-existent What??? He has a fantastic boot. Just because he doesn't kick the ball away willy nilly means nothing. He's a former AFL player. No, he is a terrible kicker for a fullback. Directionless and lacks distance. He failed as an AFL player because he couldn't kick. Well I...

Re: Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

HC sorry.

Fair points on Brown and Dagg. Halfpenny is also an excellent goal kicker which is handy.

But Iz is the best under the high ball, has a huge boot, he's the tallest and biggest of them and he's the best as a support runner coming from behind the line. Pure fullback.

I'd but Brown a distant 2nd to Izzy. I do watch the HK. Comes across a f**king dick but he is an excellent player. Iz though is as a pure a 15 you could get and simply on another level.

Izzy Folau ... just out of curiosity ...

... is there any poster here who thinks he's not the best 15 in the game and also the best 15 in recent memory?

I expect maybe some NHers who don't watch Super rugby. But anyone who knows remotely what they're talking about?

There are plenty of movies on alcoholism and alcoholics. Which is your favourite? Mine is Crazy Heart, with Jeff Bridges It captures the sense of hopelessness, desperation, emptiness against the fervent wish to straighten out in the last terrible period +1 for Crazy Heart. Awesome soundtrack too.

I had my usual last night. Four pints of mid-strength beer throughout the evening and a glass of wine with dinner. Was about to pour myself a whisky while watching Game of Thrones and thought, "nah I'll have a decaf coffee and a pint of water instead". There's my small victory. ha! ...

What a f**king impressive character, seriously.

His girlfriend, Zoe, used to live in the apartment above mine and he'd come past quite a lot. Never said much to him except for "hello" but he seemed like a reasonable type of bloke from what I could tell.

Scandinavian stereotypes according to Scandinavians.

Not sure what's going on with the Finns (Finnish?) or the Norwegian woman.

To me they all (including the Danes, Finns and Norwegians) look like the Swedish male and the Icelandic female in the above.

I think there's FAR too much excuse-making for dangerous play in rugby. What does it matter if the players eyes are on the ball? What does it even matter if he's jumping for the ball? Does it say in the laws that it's okay to hit a player in the air "if your eyes are on the ball"? I doubt it. It may...
