Re: Dylan Hartley England captain
One drawback with having your captain in the front row is that the front row, under normal circumstances, is usually changed for the final quarter. Will Hartley be kept on the pitch longer than he would if he were not captain? Is Stephen Moore? Dunno  If only the rest of PR were so honest!

Re: Dylan Hartley England captain
Don't have a problem with it. Last time we had a captain with a tough edge we were rather good (see avatar). I also expect Jones will have no qualms about subbing him (as tends to happen with most of the front row) so George will get his time. Spot on, he is an excellent captain. But he is seriousl...

Re: Dylan Hartley England captain
Eddies first mistake and a costly one, teams WILL target Hartley and wind him up knowing he's gonna blow, with fine margins seperating a win or loss, a player who gives away cheap penalties worse still gets carded, its a big risky call. I seem to remember Hartley being targeted before an Eng Wales ...

Re: Spot of Gouging on the Weekend - Stade Vs Tigers
Ok will if that is a still from the only video that clears Slimani as the hand on the face is from a much taller player (I'd say one of the second rows). No way that is Slimani's hand as he'd have to have a back 2 meters wide to have his hand at that angle. I don't know if clear contact with the fa...

Based on the Ashton ban, if there is a hand on the face its a 12 week ban minimum. The still is all the evidence needed.

Are the Celts really whining this much? Toulon, Saracen's and Bath aside (who are out of the cup anyway), you can't say any of the 1/4 finalists bought their success. The squads aren't that different from when English clubs were shit. Basically it's a level playing field now the Pro12 have to quali...

10. McAllister, 12. Flood ... why not reverse those? Lucky Luke's always been a better IC than FH. It's surprising, but this is how our new head coach Ugo Mola has wanted it. He has argued that Flood had too much pressure as FH last year (he had a pretty average season) and is playing more relaxed ...

This evening's games - betting thread
Any ideas?
I'm on for:
Quins
Bayonne
Worcester
Castres
to win, with an 11 way Yankee bet.
Theory being that the two all-french games should see home wins, and I can easily see Quins beating Montpellier away and Worcester beating La Rochelle away.

Is Hartley suddenly shit with bored logic then? He's put in some great performances for England over the years, provides much needed experience, and while he may be out of match time, would you really choose Heywood over him for an important 6N match? For me, at least, it's not that he's shit, it's...

The town I was brought up in ignored Starbucks. They kept on going to Mary's coffee shop. After a while Starbucks got the message. I think Costa took over the premises, but they're now gone too. Mary's still there. I believe Mary offered a few extra pumps with the milk frother... if you know what i...

Re: Ashton convicted eye gouging plum
The Times has a massive headline about him being 'an eye-gouger'. Which is clearly not true and very harsh to his reputation imo.
There was definitely no gouging. Although i accept that a hand in the area now appears to result in a ban so not complaining about the result.

Did this exact trip in July last year on honeymoon. Just to echo what others have said, Yosemite is insanely spectacular. Bath's problem mostly doesn't seem to be signings so much as execution. If they do need to replace anyone I reckon it's Priestland, because he's shite. Stooke's not a bad signing, but doesn't really feel like it will address the root cause of where they're going wrong at the moment. Think it's pret...

People still talk about 'trickle-down' as if thats what free markets/capitalism proponents actually mean.
Forgetting that 'trickle-down' was coined by a humourist specifically to take the piss out of capitalists.
