Haha fair enough. Agree Ireland should be a NATO member, not so sure about the need to have willy waving large military for such a small country.

Who is a military threat to Ireland that a couple boats would stop? Is it just a "doing your bit" thing?

I think he's exceeding expectations, don't see anybody doing better with the cattle. Agreed, the fact that they have stopped being whipping boys and are in fact a "dark horse" to beat the better teams in good games if not win a tournament is a huge step up. It's pretty clear they are quite reliant ...

2011/2012 was probably one of the best Welsh teams ever. They were Gatland ball without having to rely on all out defence so much and showed how nice that gameplan can actually be with the right personell.

Yeah the days of in game "coaching" being stoppable are probably long gone. Should probably just be allowed at this point so long as it doesn't slow the game down. We would be denied some of Rassies funny antics though.

I think the dark horse narrative is bad for Scotland. They go into every tournament with a ready made excuse. But it is kinda true. They are not currently a team that is going to win titles outside some fluke. Maybe they could be a bit better but what do people think this teams ceiling really is?

Ramos at 10. Weird experiment. He played most of his season there for Toulouse. And he played very well against Wales. But that English rush defense got to him. Galthie wanted to test Barre as well. He was kind of largely responsible for Wales being in the game at all though, you can't defend like ...

I'd expect Wales to lose to Fiji and probably Japan too if played next week (and those sides had sufficient prep). Georgia would be smelling blood too.

Biggar did struggle in his last couple seasons for Wales but ultimately the whole team did and 10 is not a flattering place to be when the whole gameplan is going to shit. The idea he was not an excellent player for Wales throughout his career is a bit strange to me.

Who the fark doesn’t rate Biggar? Quintessential test rugby player. The guy who wants Jarrod ‘can’t start for Harlequins’ Evans starting at 10 for Wales. He's not wrong Oz won the RWC in 1999. So its not comparing like for like. I predict you'll see a renaissance in the Wallabies, culminating in them at least making the final of the 2027 World Cup... Wales are doing the right thing, starting again... it's a new era... seeing who can handle test rugb...

Didn’t really start following rugby until the mid 90s. Vaguely remember watching 5N with my dad before then. Well, in ‘98 I think, we shipped almost 100 points to SA. At various points in the 90s, we were playing Bryon Hayward. Funnell. Gareth Evans. Phil John. Wayne Proctor. Derwyn Jones. We’re ut...
