Re: Rob Baxter to World Rugby, Stop messing with the scrum and maul
Rugby is mental in that it just stops for this mini game of victorian freak show strong man competition and I am all for it. I don't want that depowered I agree with others that the time wasted sucks though.

Re: Has Scotland gone full fascist?
What does a reasonable person believe though? Are you saying that they have potentially draconian powers but there is no culture or capacity to use them or that they just don't have these powers? Genuinely don't know, no attempted gotchas. I mean ultimately this is a power grab and should be treated...

Re: Golden Age of Westerns
I love war and westerns of this era. Seen a bunch. You just have to get used to the depiction of 'indians' as primitive and dim. Its a downward spiral on cultivating racism. Here are a few westerns. I've started with the must-see classics then gone by actor rather than director. And I'm purposefull...

Yeah if you're dumping fatties we really need to lose a couple players a team, 15 per side is surely too much with 30 fit and fast players
I think there is not a huge fuss about scrum times because players and refs like the long breather

I don't know how anyone in this day and age could watch films depicting the systematic oppression of native Americans, or showing white men fighting over stolen land. Disgraceful. I recommended AND-y watch Soldier Blue. Made in 1970 it pulled no punches in that space. Oh no is it going to make me t...

You have to watch Tombstone. Don’t argue, just trust me. Then the Hateful Eight. Oh Tombstone is the town the stereotypical western dust hole is based on right? No, it was typical of the western frontier towns as trains saw the expansion of commerce and populace. It is better-known for being the sc...

Want to get into this genre, I guess it's around the 50s and 60s? I know next to little about them other than they were so often background noise when I was younger? I wonder if today is April 1st.. Oh, I didn't feel it was ridiculous enough for that. Targetting a mans wife as part of a joke is pretty bad form. If a boxer wins a fight who walks away with the winning cheque? his wife. It happens in a lot of sports and households but yeah you're an April fool but...

But the whole thing with Kerouac was that he did his road trip out in the country on rural roads. If you’re trying to recreate a Kerouac experience in London or Manchester or on the M1, you’re doing it wrong. My brother in law used to bump into Lawrence Ferlingetti, who published a lot of the Beats...

I’m with Bimbo. Cheering for such a sacrifice for such a meagre returns is laughable.
