Re: Irish Courts: U.K. not a safe country
I find it really funny, that when it is UKs problem, everyone is concerned about Human Rights, the Refugee Convention, International law etc etc. When it is Ireland's problem, none of that seems to apply. The Irish exceptionalism and hypocrisy absolutely reeks. Your lack of knowledge on issues this...

Re: Irish Courts: U.K. not a safe country
International law still applies, also the Common Travel Area could always be cancelled. Although that would be a nuclear option. You're a South African. You're an outsider. Just shut up Dual British/South African Citizen since birth. Yea technicality. You don't understand this part of the world

Re: Irish Courts: U.K. not a safe country
I thought you already had. I think the only way to solve this problem is one of 3 ways 1. Irish reunification, then any migrants would have to go in small boats between Scotland and Ireland 2. A hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland 3. A deal between the UK and EU. The EU...

Re: Irish Courts: U.K. not a safe country
1. That would put Ireland in breach of the Refugee Convention that states that Asylum Seekers don't have to claim Asylum in the first safe country. 2. Hasn't the Irish Court already said that returning them would be in breach of their Human Rights? 3. The UK would have to agree to take them back. 4...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Going to be tricky for Leinster to top the table. If Bulls beat Glasgow it'll be in our own hands but Ulster away, in particular, the week before, hopefully, the European final is a big ask. Well if we lose to Saints , we'll be playing a strong team wherever the game is. If we beat Saints it could ...

Once floodgates are open it's very difficult to control (this is evident in a lot of Western countries) . The word has got out that it's easy to claim and to be granted asylum. You'll have more and more people coming there. I put this question to Camroc.. What makes you think UK will accept these f...

Before the Ukraine war the numbers of international protection seekers barely registered. Bear this in mind. Our biggest foreign population ( not including Brits who are not considered foreign) was Polish who numbered about 200k since 2005. In the space of 1 year we took in 100k Ukrainians into stat...

The reason were getting a surge of migrants from the UK is down to our own wonderful judiciary. By saying UK is not a safe country, the migrants have started coming here knowing we can't send them back there. There will be legislation very soon to deal with that so we can't have judges making stuff...

Portadown, or Ballymena should do the trick. According to that link Nigerians make ...
