Re: Murdoch - Not a Fit Person

Almost ALL politicians "are not fit person to exercise the stewardship of an country" Fixed David Cameron warned us in 2009 that "Today we are in danger of living in a control state." Sadly that's every bit as true now as it was under Labour. The Conservatives want to snoop on your emails. Every ti...

Forecasters said “power showers” hammered many parts over the weekend, with lightning and mid-air tornadoes – narrow funnel clouds stretching below thunderstorms – reported in Lincolnshire and East Anglia. The Met Office forecast heavy rain today and torrential downpours and gales on Wednesday and ...

Well done. You obviously do better when you can't cut and paste the lawbooks and can't access slow-mo replays. ;) Arguing on here about the Laws has definitely given me a better understanding and interpretation on the field. I mostly ask myself, what would a keewee ref do and then do the exact oppo...

Well chuffed just got my Captains cards grade summary. after 8 Games tallied - 2 cards missing (one ran off straight after game, one insisted he'd send it in himself but so far hasn't). :D Nice that Home and Away average are the same, as expected losing Captains not as happy as the winning ones. fun...

Re: It's Official I'm a Ref (fred continued from old Bored)

Well, 7s done and dusted. 3 pool games and 1 Cup SF. Managed to get through all them ok, was a bit worried as while stretching and working my right hamstring I ended up with a massive blue bruise on the lower part of the hamstring above the knee. Oddly it didn't hurt too much and left more bruised t...

Re: It's Official I'm a Ref (fred continued from old Bored)

#7 and #8 done. #7 was a friendly as a favour for my old club on their presidents day, was good fun all round. great game too. #8 was a niggly affair but managed to keep cards and players on the field (it was both teams last game of the season). much happier with my fitness and positional play. #6 finished, was supposed to be assessed but no one pitched. Not the greatest game, but it was tight - the home team, the underdogs, winning 19-17. Far too many sideline refs that annoyed me a bit. Happy with most of my calls, missed a few things in a few rucks there the ball ended up on the other s...

#5 out of the way, what a beautiful day to be out playing rugby. Ref'd the team I used to play for. I was interested to see how knowing one team well would influence my decision making. I'm confident I was fair and even to both side (tbf I was more worried about over compensating and blowing the oth...

Field positioning - seems to be coming more naturally, only got bumped once. What position did you used to play? All my ref coaches say they can tell I used to play as a flanker or 2nd row because of my running lines. Glad to hear it is going well for you. I have my first run of the year tomorrow m...
