Re: Will Sam Cane have to face the Judiciary after his RWC Final Red?
I would have thought that any evidence of concussion would be sufficient to trigger an assessment in the interests of the player. It's not a punishment, it's a precaution. Yea corporations have form for implementing rules that are “claimed “to be about safety when in fact its complete liability mit...

.... and yet ,we still never see the victim of the foul play removed from play for mandatory HIA. You often see them removed. Why should removal be mandatory? That's penalising the victim. Re: Decline of the All Blacks
OK, so what I am getting from the responses is that a new coach will get the All Blacks back to their almost invincible best. The last few years of poor results is all down to the coaching and nothing to do with the match winning talent that is available? I sure hope you kants are wrong, because I ...

Just looking at results from the last 3 years. Admittedly Covid was the early part, but the AB's won 10 in a row. Then starting October 2021 the run ended with a loss to SA. Since that loss the following picture emerges: PLayed 31 Won:20 Lost:10 Drew:1 Of that 20 wins there are a few erm anomalies:...

Decline of attacking rugby. Retards that don’t take the points when on offer were punished so hard this World Cup. The formula for winning knock out rugby competitions has been fully set in stone now: Monster pack, great pressure kicker, top tier defence, great positional kicking and overall simple...

Timing of Eddies announcement. One of the English pundits saying Eddie timed it for today to steal a bit of limelight away from the RWC final. An accurate observation I think. I was just thinking an interim would ease time pressure. Clayton McMillan is a very good coach. He turned a team that went winless under Gatland into a title contender. I'm not sure a foreign coach is the best choice though. Aussie Rugby fans are harsh on foreign coaches. I dont understand what an ...

Re: According to the RWC protocols and the Laws of Rugby, The All Blacks won!
It's not a stretch, I know for a fact that that is how WR intended it to be. The TMO gave a live referral regarding the missed knock on, Barnes then has the option to review or not. If that's how WR intended it to be, then the protocols should have been written to reflect that. They did not. Are yo...

Re: According to the RWC protocols and the Laws of Rugby, The All Blacks won!
Yes, that was incorrect officiating. But honestly, I'd prefer the right call to be made (which was a knock-on/penalty ABs) than the 'technically correct' call. And we still scored the try from that phase of play eventually and had more than enough other opportunities to win. We've no one but oursel...

I think there is a few issues compounding here, but one of the biggest ones for me was that it never felt like the two best teams in the World were going at today. That detracts from the spectacle of it. Agree, the intensity and occasion felt missing to me. It felt like a below average NZ Bok test.

First of all this 'youth policy's stuff is just an excuse. It's not like he picked a lots of young players who were in form. He picked a bunch of young players over some established and proven test players. Some of those new players weren't even performing well at Super rugby level (e.g. Donaldson,...

We haven’t played them in 10 months. You’ve had two games since July FFS. I’ll watch it because it’s the final but it’s not that interesting a match up in rugby terms. It was February. Unless my maths is letting me down, that's 8 months ago. So your main annoyance isn't that Ireland aren't there. I...

From 95 onwards, every WC final has featured at least one previous winner. 07, 15, and 19 were all contested between two previous winners. Race clearly isn't a social construct. When native americans saw white people, they may not have used the same term but they certainly saw them as a different race. Egyptians certainly understood race long before Europeans did so. As did many west Asians. There is only Homo sapiens sapiens (us) whi...
