Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Luckily he didn't have to beat his man as Freeman had obliterated him already. He handed off his man as he went on his outside. Which has absolutely nothing to do with his lack of pace True - but he had the pace to keep up with the others and be in the right position. He's obviously not blistering ...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
I had assumed Daly to 15 if we lost Furbank. I suppose it depends at what stage it happened though as I doubt Ford can go the 80 against France so a fresh Smith coming on at 10 might be a more strategic replacement than using him at 15 if Furbank goes down. Losing a wing would be a disaster. I thin...

We've picked a 23 without anyone who I would class as an out and out winger. If Freeman or Furbank get injured that means Tuilagi on the wing against one of the super quick frog wingers. Mental. Not following your logic there. If Furbank gets injured - we'd probably have Smith at FB - And Lawrence ...

Nah. You can tweak a couple of things and employ tactics to counter certain strengths, but good teams play their game regardless of the opposition. Horses for courses works against crap teams, but then of course you beat them anyway. No good team changes up their gameplan completely week by week de...

Re: France vs England - Official 6 Nations Thread - 16 March 24
Because of Ireland's massive points difference, England could win with a try bonus point, Ireland could lose by 7 and still win the championship Fortunately, that isn't going to happen. Ireland will win - there's no way they won't bounce back and put away a pretty disappointing Scots team, at home....

Re: Wales Vs Italy - 6N Official Match Thread - Welsh wooden 🥄?
I foresee an Italian win but if we do get a Welsh one it'll be deeply unsatisfying one through bad ref decisions or Italian cards or a series of flukes. Italy deserve this far more than we do too, we've been the worst team in this championship and it isn't even close. Well, if you outplay Italy and...

That counter attack for the first try though likely doesn't happen in previous games though. That ball is hoisted high. Maybe, but I'm not convinced by the all-or-nothing narrative. I'd certainly agree that Furbank is a more natural attacking threat, but it's silly to pretend that Steward was just ...

When the option is Steward, i'm teamFurbank. Steward is the Faz of fullbacks. We'll see how long the Furbank hype lasts. I'd be surprised if he's still the starting 15 in a year's time That's a bit loaded, i'd say it won't be Steward or another lock masquerading as a 15. I really like what Furbank ...

Best of luck England next week. They have found their form just in time Mmmm - they just over powered Wales. If England can match them for physicality it could be a close contest - France were pretty ordinary until Wales ran out of steam. That's already a big if. And even if they do, France will be...

If we’re desperate for a like for like Daly replacement (and I’m not sure we are) then Malins would make sense. However we’ve already got Furbank who can play multiple positions reasonably well. So think we just pick the next best outside back available be that; Steward, Arundell, Muir, Murley etc....

That was an entertaining game and the best England win in a long time. Ireland are a fine team and were rightly billed as favourites but they are mentally weak. They choke on the big occasion and need to get past this. Leinster have choked similarly in Cup Finals. Obviously some mental fragility wh...

Great performance. Maybe Borthers really does know what he’s doing. Hopefully that is a big step in the right direction.
Just a bit of a concern that our decision making and shape, went awry when the subs came on. Care was awful, really awful.
