Re: Windows 8 u-turn

Eh, this has been available for months now hasn't it? It has been for me at least, not that I use it. You don't have to use the button you can now boot straight into it. This has been available for a year or so, it came with the Windows 8.1 release. The latest release, catchily titled, Windows 8.1 ...

Re: Fictional character resurrections that ruined the story

Not just my opinion....now they are making film sequels all the books are now non cannon! The books were never really canon. The only canon worth talking about is G-canon and T-canon. G is the films as made by Lucas himself and T-canon is (just) two TV series as made by Lucasarts; Star Wars: ...

cant remember if I have posted on this thread or not and cant be bothered to check tbh, but the greatest work of imagination pretty much of all time IMO is Starmaker by Olaf Stapledon. I do recommend it if you haven't already read it.

Saw it in 3D earlier tonight. Not bad but as others have said already, not a patch on Alien or Aliens but plenty of plot holes. Some questions: Why bother casting Guy Pearce as the old man when they could just cast an old actor? What was the giant engineer doing at the beginning on the waterfall? W...
