Re: NZ Politics Thread

It was fun listening to ZB during my walk this morning. Boy, were they attacking the poll (and the media reporting it).

I chuckled when I thought of what they would do if NActNZF rose in the polls. There would be cum all over the place.

Re: NZ Politics Thread

Verian was the first to predict a 3-headed monster for the government so I guess they have it right.

But... it means absolutely nothing at this point. A government has had time to make plans but not action them. Probably pointless taking a poll in the first year of a government.

Happy for play to be slugfests - just don't want extended breaks to set 5 scrums in a row.

I don't want the clock to stop to allow that either. Get the scrums and lineouts set within a few seconds and get the game going again.

Interesting that despite this, you still have you panties in a bunch re Swain. One player had the wind knocked out of him. One was put out of the game for 12 months. Yeah, fairly even. I agree that it is too risky but is applied in accordance with the rules (despite him being a bit late in every case) whereas Dirty Swine did it to injure.

Repeating, teams have no problems doing it to DMac so Finau is applying payback.

I am on record for wishing he wouldn't do this - he will find a ref that wants to stamp some sort of authority (which is what Finau is trying on) and it will be at the worst possible time.

Still while others are doing it to DMac, fucking hit them harder.

Considering the Blues have given up 3 or so tries in the last 5 matche s I think his defense is doing fine. He had a tendency to let someone have the outside and then use his speed to get them rather than shut down their space but that seems to have improved. Either way, just like some other player...

Great set pieces from the crusaders but their handling was pretty dire at times. Just reading a bit more about the rebels off field issues and what's been going on this week. Never going to get a separate stadium up there in my lifetime. We have 2 generations of infrastructure maintenance to catch up on first. I am fine with that - we do NOT need a national stadium. Happy for Eden Park to be stuck in the Burbs and out of sight as I will probably never go back there anyway.
