RWC Press Conferences.
I don’t know if I’ve ever watched one where the audio isn’t a giant ballsup. I’m assuming that because they are televised or streamed they do want these things to be watched, or there is a want from rugby public to be involved. You almost never know what the question was that coaches and players are...

I gotta agree with the decision to hoof it back to the Irish at the end there. How many actual phases did they run through there? I was stunned we didn’t give a penalty.

Definitely. More than showing the can beat the All Blacks they’ve shown that they can really turn it on and play awesome regardless.
Neutrals will say unlikely, but Argentina aren’t a bad side.

Yep, I wasn’t confident either. The chance of two more games to watch regardless of what happens sits ok though.
I feel the chances of stealing the show are even less than the probability of surviving beyond Ireland are.
Still, a chance however unlikely is still a chance.

Very poor there, assuming the numbering was farmed out to local industry and they screwed it. The person who did it would have been watching in horror. Somehow level 7 clubs get this right Happens. I’ve done it. I managed to screw up an entire order of a local team a couple years ago. Sexton in particular does more head shaking than one of those bobble head dogs in the parcel tray of cars. Almost like he has some ability to dislocate his spinal column at the base of his skull.
He didn’t do much squawking tonight though.

Re: NZ v Ireland RWC Quarter Final Thread..
Thought the Irish invested quite a lot in having Aki step back inside which was pretty much completely shut down and achieved nothing.
Fair play to them for keeping at it, but you’d want at least something to come from it having so many attempts.

That kick from the base of the ruck by Ardie 5 meters out. I’m sure he fumbled and knocked on just prior to hoofing it.

Re: NZ v Ireland RWC Quarter Final Thread..
It’s just dawned on me how good the ball handling and basic skills must have been in this game. Apart from line outs and a couple scrum penalties the time in play must have been quite the aerobic exercise for both teams.

A yellow card here, a red card there, and it's possible. Those two would have to knock each other out in the semi to reach the final wouldn’t they? I just don’t see two teams that meet in a semi final ultimately meeting again in the final. https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/pools Ahh, sorry forgot ...

They couldn’t do worse than the current lot. If Germans vote Scholz and his tree hugger buddies in again to continue the clown show, they definitely deserve what’s coming.

Just watching the Argie V Wales replay now and am reminded how the Argies actually play a lot like us. Which should provide a pretty entertaining game.
Hopefully Lavanini doesn’t get carded early to completely ruin it.

I think the difference being the Springbok do have three+ top shelf in a row performances in them. They can consistently bang them out and aren’t susceptible to the wild swing in performance we have shown.

Where the hell does management take the All Black selections this week? I kind of get the feeling the biggest reason for a decent team performance tonight was keeping them hungry to play by holding them back. Terrific win for the boys tonight, but it’s in the dustbin of history now. Will Chieka’s Argies see a final appearance come unstuck? Win or lose, we still have another match... and when you're a smaller team every game counts. Specially after a start as horrible as the one we had. Your boys did goo...

The potential of this group of players have always been there to see, they got the basic skills right tonight. Quite a lot of that game though Ireland looked the better side, or the framework of Irelands game was a lot tighter.

Couldn’t beat a team with 14 men on the field for 20min. Simply not good enough.

Good fight so far from the All Blacks. I get the feeling they’re going to have to score early and plenty. Two quick tries to hang onto.
