How many knocks-on are they going to do? Too many mistakes.

At least they are trying but the execution is just diabolical

France holding in as much as they can. Ireland play calmly, with control and a better game plan. It feels as if they knew all the French moves, or the French positioning like that kick on Chouly. So far, Barnes is doing a good job, though I thought that last penalty was a bit harsh with 2 French le...

Both went off their feet miles beyond the ball to start with. On their feet subsequently, but that was the pen.
Guirado was the guy contesting the ball and was on his feet the all time.

I’ll be OK if we lose as long as we can keep up with this fantastic Irish for as long as possible and make a decent show out of this. They truly have a superb team, the result of splendid provincial set-up which exclusively favor Irish players and give them regular exposure to the best competition i...

Re: France v Scotland. The 6 Nations

watched it again and I don't agree. It is a 3 against 2. It is basic rugby really. You run straight fix the defender and pass and then you have a 2 against one, regardless of what the last defender was doing. How is Fofana supposed to pass in traffic? He has a Scot between him and Spedding or Huget...

Re: France v Scotland. The 6 Nations

For me, Spedding, who is between Fofana and Huget, should have made the effort to converge on Fofana. The other real issue is that Bastagros doesn't have the pace to follow Fofana. Closest player was Kockott, but he was still a bit late. On a move like this (obviously a set move), you need a flying...

Huget is right though. Problem is that Fofana has no awareness of where the players are and how to adapt his runs. There is a clear overlap on the right side. Instead, fofana chooses to go on the inside, which is completely the wrong option in my opinion.

There is a reason why these guys don't make it to the first XV in their clubs. I am tired to hear that this is because they are warming the bench behind foreign imports. As far as I am concerned, in as challenging an environment, players like Chiocci, Menini, Domingo, Mas, Slimani, Kayser, Guirado,...

Well, that was not great. But we won. I do not get the game plan. But even if there is one, it should involved the backs running straight lines. fixing the defenders and passing. Behind him, Plisson still shows frailties but has good potential. Trinh-Duc, if he comes back to the top could be a good choice becaus...
