Re: OFFICIAL Brexit Thread

You do realise these GDP forecasts are the actual long term projections made by economists (some from the actual govt themselves)? Brexiteers really do hate experts. These same experts predicted less than 0.5% loss per annum of GDP post brexit over 15 years, you’ve refused to believe them on that.

No prejudice, just factual.

Sorry, a deal that hasn’t started has a negative impact on GDP.

This argument is not completely without merit. If the goal is carbon reduction, of course a concious effort should be made to reduce non-essential travel. However, it's bullshit to say "we shouldn't have this summit because leaders will fly there and drive cars" It should be viewed as an investment...

Of course it is, it’s a circular argument. The u-turns are incompetence, not some master plan. This should be a good deal for NZ, Britain entering the EEC really hurt the economy. Most of the NZ wine I see in the shops here is already cheaper than you can buy in NZ, so will be good if it goes down even further. Any good red wine? Not of note, no. Any good red wine? Otago Pinot isn't bad, but I tend to think Aus and Sth Africa do better reds. See a lot of Peter Yealand and Oyster Bay sauvignon blanc in the shops here. I’ll give some a whirl- can’t drink white x( New Zealand has never really been good at producing Reds at the lower end of the...

I wondered what the chances that Mick's "mate" was in hospital with 9 others who all had been vaccinated. Assuming that hospital rates for the vaccinated are 50% (more on that later), which is very generous we have the odds of nine people being vaccinated as 0.5 to the power of 9 or odds of around ...
