I know. A few extra parts per million of CO2 is going to destroy the planet (unless we give trillions to the ruling elite). There is no real evidence to back this up just silly computer models but still.

Some are beyond help.

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

Talk about cherry picking. 25 years of Atlantic hurricanes verse 40 years of global cyclone activity. mmmmmm who to go with. Good question. NASA, every national academy of sciences on the planet, the US Navy, the US Army, the IPCC and the CSIRO (just to name a few) ... or Alan Jones, The Heartland ...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

So more exagerated reports means more events .... did you read the comments on this thread about the media ? there are lower numbers of hurricanes and cyclone events. I would expect better of your studies.... And please list the More extreme events than have happened historically ? 'Exagerrated rep...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

Have the decency to return the favour and give MS a link. because if MS is as clever as he thinks he is he will copy the sentence - and google it - which will give him the met office article it came from btw its not plain old met office anymore its 'met office and climate change' - that very name c...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

He's not the only one. Every paid scientist out there is (rightly) also mystified. However....just a decade ago they were all absolutely certain and we're shouting it from the rooftops! We haven't been able to predict the weather let alone what might happen to the climate if the drivers chan...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

The challenge for humanity is how do we feed a global population that is growing? How do we sustain our living standards when the Earth's natural resources will be under more pressure as India and China's populations move into middle class status? Good luck with that I wonder if mankind has ever ha...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

Yes is it. Big f**king rocks from outer space have hit the joint and wiped out the majority of species. The Earth has had ice ages and times of warming. Massive tectonic activity which has created mountain ranges. Super Volcanoes which have influneced the Earth's climatic conditions during differen...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

The Earth is tougher then anything we can throw at it. However, that should not mean open season on the planet. f**ked if I know how we are going to help the planet . In reality, we have a shit load of people in Asia and India who will come into a middle class lifestyle and it is impossible to tell...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

but these are the very type of people who will benefit from carbon trading scheme. Or tax payments for say wind power These solution are all about money nothing more. It will do almost nothing to reduce CO2 output even if CO2 output is a concern (and it isn't). CAGW = a desire for money. It has noth...

Re: Arctic sea ice coverage back to 'normal' levels

I think that the saddest, and probably most disturbing issue about the reactions of people like Bill, FA and Coog is that in the developed countries where these guys live, there is very little impact being felt from climate change. However these countries are the ones that have been creating the mo...

Re: Official 'CANES v SHORKS in the 'NAKI thread.

Great to see the much maligned Canes' fatties getting stuck in. By fudge they soaked up a lot of punishment in the first half. Eaton, May, and Coles can't be far off Shag's radar. Broadhurst very solid, too. Coles is in great form. But the whole team played well. And having May back made a huge dif...
