Not wanting to sound too insensitive, but how can a 41-year old be a professional BMX rider? I know the idea of professional sport is ludicrous, but BMX? What else can you be a professional at? Rollerskating? Darning? Bog snorkelling?

He pushes with hard hands at spin, which aint all that great. Also, a big problem he has is rotating the strike, in ODI's the pressure mounts with each dot, especially when chasing. He must clear his head, play county, get out of the limelight a bit, then hit his straps next year. Contrary to popul...

Button should have been axed last year..... Not sure of the logic for that, since he outperformed the car and is an important asset in this season's development race. On another note, 35 years ago, an even more shameful performance from Australia. I think I would have liked to hear the Channel Naan commentary team today. Just out of interest, is the 9 commentary team exclusively Australian? I believe Mark Nicholas is English, but not so that you'd notice: he's p...

Regarding the U19 incident, I have no problem with mankading in cricket and don't understand why it is so controversial. Why should the bastman be allowed to be halfway down the pitch? Should we also forgive batsmen who get out stumped and allow them to carry on? Did you see the incident, they had ...

I'm guardedly optimistic that the sameish team can perform better under a new overlord (whom I welcome, by the way). Cheika and Boofhead achieved a big improvement with their respective teams, after all. We will presumably see Itoje, Hill, Brooke and Clifford on at some point.

Serious discussions re: Compton and Taylor due as well, although I'd be happy with them being picked for the SL series.
