Re: Should NSW be relegated?
While I’m on a rant.. Take a look at Randwick Colts. They’ve got 3 grades of lads stacked with schoolboys. They have a ‘Foumdation’ that gives Uni fees grants to players to attract them. Local lads get told to find another club. Fcking disgraceful. IMO That is outrageous! It’s not what a rugby club...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
Tim Anstee would not have cost much, I reckon. WTF is he doing in a Force jersey????? How good is he? A ball playing back rower with speed to burn. Keep an eye on him. He looked good yesterday. Mitchell made a good comment when he set up that try - not many forwards would have found the support run...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
I’m sure Chrichton would be as good, but whether he’s as good as half the Reds’ backline is another thing. That’s the Tahs’ way. Throw money at silver bullets from the NRL. Perhaps all NSW people are just mad for league, but the ones with a bit of money just pretend they prefer rugby for the social...

Re: No Country For Old Men
Is it a problem? It's an advantage. You need players to move on to allow a pathway for the new crop of players. You'd need to recruit atleast 5 new players per SR side to keep the youngsters motivated. That means atleast 5 need to be moved on. There's no loss in intellectual property, let's face it...

Re: No Country For Old Men
The Tahs pay nothing journeyman, Moeroa $400k. How much do the Canes pay for World Top 5 player, Ardie Savea? Half that? And why have you pivoted to what Oz teams should do? This debate is about how to keep the best NZ talent available for the ABs. Stay focussed and come with data or stfu. Really a...

Re: No Country For Old Men
I’m going to destroy SH rugby. I know it’s wrong, but I can’t help it. Once I launch my rugby app and get my squillions, I plan to buy the Reds and crush everyone. We will dry hump the ABs, and you kiwis will be hating life when you see big Brodie and Ardie rolling out their rehearsed try-scoring ce...

Re: No Country For Old Men
I'd love to see the kiwi Super Rugby sides listed including current overseas pros. They'd all be defacto test sides. Think you’d find Reds, Tahs and Brumbies would look alright too well yeah, that just makes it sadder. Imagine how strong the comp would look without NH money. It would look like the ...

Re: No Country For Old Men
The top NZ SR salary is around $280,000. That's why we cannot retain players who aren't playing for the AB's. That type of salary simply isn't competitive globally. So unless your salary is being topped up by the All Blacks, you're playing overseas. $280k? So we know for a fact that Ardie Savea wou...

Re: No Country For Old Men

He would earn at least as much playing for Canes, I don't think Tahs or any Aus clubs are exactly rolling in money. As for player burnout, if you were a super coach in Aus paying big money for a kiwi player, you would run him into ground to get money worth, I would expect NZ...

Re: No Country For Old Men
There’s a potential solution but kiwis wouldn’t accept the trade-off, regardless of how small the price is. Here it is. Let some players remain eligible to play for the ABs but play the Soup part of the season for an Oz club. Because of the big kiwi population in Australia, a couple of big names at...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
Is it possible that the Tahs pay more for Moeroa than the Reds do for any of their players, with the possible exception of Vunivalu? $400k a season with no help from RA: - more than what test stars (with RA top-ups) earn in total: Petaia, Paisami and Daugunu - more than Hamish Stewart’s career earni...

Really happy for WA rugby but this aint good for the rugby heartland. That's a shame... Brumbies fans can be extremely narrow minded when it comes to the health of the game in this country. Then again it is Slimy Narrow minded? Who whined hysterical about the “heartland” because their team lost? :l...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
Newsome is diabolical There’s military-medium bowlers out there who are tutting and shaking their heads at Newsome. He’s the Mike Gatting of rugby ffs. So (and like Gatting) they made him captain ? Moeroa is a plodder, Harrison is toast and we can’t decide which halfback we should play with. Mark N...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
I actually thought the Tahs played well today. That fullback is a gun!!! Grant did well in the 9 jersey too. That Perth flanker has a bit of go about him and I saw Alex Newsome do something for the first time ever. Harrison though, is a false dawn. I had no idea what Newsome looked like until today...

Well, obviously you know more about it than those of us here. So, no worries. Just talking about the (dismal) NSW play. That noted, I don't think getting rid of an experienced coach in Rob Penney is going to make things any better. Somehow NSW has found themselves with a colts side in a men's comp....

Tahs played well. Force played a bit better.
That was a really good game of footy! The star power at the Force.... they’ve got some pow!! Backline is full of big names - great to have that kind of international flavour In Oz Rugby. It’s like a French team.

:D A pathetic Tahs is a hobbled Wallabies, all Oz supporters should want them strong again. Yeah, nah. Let's look at the most successful modern Wallabies team 1998 - Tahs 6th of 12 1999 - Tahs 8th of 12 2000 - Tahs 9th of 12 2001 - Tahs 8th of 12 2002 - Tahs 2nd of 12 2003 - Tahs 5th of 12 That's on...

Re: Should NSW be relegated?
Why? Depth. Clearly QLD raised players will comprise the pinnacle of the squad, but injuries happen and the replacements need to be decent. We won a World Cup with 2 teams and another with 3. Now we need 4+? NSW doesn’t have a strong roster but the state has still produced some of the most exciting...

There's something rotten at the Waratahs. Personally, I blame everyone involved. It's like they've cloned Richard Graham and replace everyone in the organisation with him. Doesn't bode well for the Wallabies though. Really need to NSW production line to actually work. Why? Depth. Clearly QLD raised...

FMD, the populace ask for the law to catch up. That is how democracy's work. Get with the program. For the love of God. You know 1/10 of fudge all on legal matters. 99% of the stuff you copy paste is ill-informed tin foil hat nonsense.
