Garvey has specifically reduced his weight and increased his mobility because he (and Bath) see his future as a 6 rather than a lock. A shame to not see him given a real go of it at lock, but he should still make a good fist of a destructive six an had been increasingly played there for Irish last ...

why would you even think about swapping ford for flood? i'm genuinely perplexed farrell seems undroppable right now - just one average to rubbish game after another I know it's deeply unfashionable, but Farrell kicked 6 out of 6 kicks and made 8 tackles without missing one. England's backline probl...

Bit of talk now on Twitter suggesting that Yarde, Wade and Mako won't make the All Black game.... Mako would be a pain in terms of what he offers in the last 20, but Yarde and Wade would destroy any small vestiges of an attacking backline we could hope for. I've not seen the first half of the Argie...

Petit was a f**king unreal player, I was fairly young in the late 90's but don't think he really got the recognition he deserved? Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Ashtons confidence may be a bit shot, he certainly doesn't trust his positioning in defence. If the unthinkable happens and Watson is selected at 14 for whatever reason, what does that mean of Wade? It's a ballsy and very harsh call at the same time. I really hope this isn't because of Wade's heigh...

Antony Watson called in to train with England prior to the Arg test according to RFU on Twitter. Guess they want to have a look at him in that environment.
Even with the depth at FB at the moment, I think he will be knocking on the door come before 2015, so probably a good shout

Wish they would stop leaking these things to the press 24 hours before. Takes all the fun out of team/captain announcements etc. The Lions had it down right with the original squad announcement. Nobody saw Stevens coming!
Right decision made though with Robshaw. Happy with that.

Never saw Sheridan when he was with Leinster, but he really has been stand out for us so far. Played virtually every minute. Nothing flashy but rock solid defence, strong running and a good offload game. Signed for two years here I think.
