If you're going to take trophy fish, then those ones make much more ethical sense than most. They aren't native species, they are being caught in man made hyrdo canals and they get that size due to the abundance of food coming out of the fish farms in the canals, rather than having lived an exceptio...

Re: Parrot/parakeet

I had a male eclectus. Lovely birds, not dusty and relatively quiet compared to lost parrots. Unfortunately, he was quite smart and he worked out how to unlock his cage. Eventually, despite padlocks and other security, he got out and was hit by a car. Anyway, he was a great pet - good with the kid....

Although this sounds like it taking the piss, it actually isn't. If you have the yard space, a couple of baby chickens to be hand-raised make really good first bird pets for young kids who have an interest in birds, and have the bonus of being content in a "flock" of two if the kid loses interest or...

Oh, and I hold little hope of the NFL season not falling apart entirely, unfortunately. Too many teams have already had their byes to allow much more rescheduling. They should have factored in two extra "bye weeks" and not assigned any teams to any byes from the outset - just used them to reshuffle ...

I have actually enjoyed watching the NFL more than rugby/league in recent years - an excellent game of rugby/league is still better, but overall I just get more enjoyment from that. The fact the game allows something like Redzone coverage is great - 8 games on at once and you're just seeing the exci...

"Fine" is a bit of a relative term - it's similar to leaving a dog chained up in a small yard all day. Easy enough to convince yourself it's "fine" (and if you spend hours giving it attention every morning and evening, it may well be), but it does affect them. They make great pets and, if properly bonded with you, can be as affectionate as cats.
