Re: The Training Thread

5 in total Jay. Did a meagre 50 this time, will do 55 next time. Probably 5 sets of 6 and 5 sets of 5. Slow and steady. Will probably reduce total number of sets as the reps get 10+ and the work:rest gets nearer 1:1

Re: The Training Thread

Power - speed deadlift 90x2, 9 sets on minute timer
Volume - OHP, 40kg in 10 minutes. Only did 45 reps as I started out with much too high reps, won't do that again

Conditioning - burpees on the minute for 10 minutes. Started slow and low with 5, will increase total by 5 each week.

Re: Game of Thrones - TV series (mark your spoilers)

Fairly sure its a fact that the 3 are Jamie's kids. Certainly my taking from it. Cersei loved Robert at the start, but when it was obvious he would always Lyanna and also whores she looked closer to home Think they were boffing since puberty. Joff, Myrcella and Tommen are definitely all Jaime's. Go...

Re: The Training Thread

You won't really go very far backwards with a few days to allow it to heal. Might feel like it, but it'll largely be psychological and any real drop-off will return quickly. This was tonight's MobilityWOD - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rcauv7ePD_0&feature=player_embedded (I've fallen behind) - and...

Re: The Training Thread

As per advice I received on this thread I'm trying to limit myself to only 1 squats session per week. But now the problem is that the DOMS in my upper legs is pretty bad approximately 2 days after squatting. When I used to squat more frequently (2 or 3 times per week), I didn't really have the DOMS...

Re: The Training Thread

Milk all you can out of it Braz, when progress stops then take a few steps back and build up again. Do that a few times before you move on. SASP - you get used to it. There's nothing I love more than things like saffron cake, enriched fruit dough type things, but I'm used to them being a rare thing ...

Nol - there's a ton of crossfit-esque options. The classic 21-15-9 for time stuff, but perhaps look at chain two, three or four exercises into an As Many Rounds As Possible in a predetermined period of time. Bit of a silly question but if I were to lift for strength 2 or 3 times a week in the morning and do a WOD 5 or 6 times a week in the evening and I were to increase my quality calorie intake and rest time, then in theory I would not "burn out" and be able to sustain this pattern for an extended per...

Favourite lifts? Dips, chins, OHP. Back squats would usually be in there, but I'm a bit cross with them at the moment, they're on the naughty step Lifts you're best at? Historically, probably back squat and front squat, that's what the comp would suggest. Also weighted dips (reps with +55kg done) an...
