Re: Comic book/Graphic Novel Recommendations

There's tons of good french stuff but I don't know if much of it is translated... Edit: here's a list with some quality stuff... http://www.coolfrenchcomics.com/top10.htm Ta, might be a good way to practice my French reading (same as reading Asterix in Latin, which was a good way to learn). Maus Good point, I've been meaning to get around to that for a while! Cheers for the recommendations lads, keep them coming. Also, what do you lot think happens at the end of The Killing Joke? It's an interesting one... Batman sends the joker back to Arkham... Check out "Venom" and "Prey" for more ...

Watching this again ... wonderful film which seems to be quite light handed for a wartime flick. Read that it was attacked for having a down to earth German character (despite him moving to England out of reaction to the rise of Nazism and to his estranged children being Nazis). Wonderful technicol...

Bredos was dreadful though... he had no scrums to officiate but the breakdown was poor and he seemed incapable of making a decision regarding the tries (even when scored right under his nose). I can only recall him NOT going to the video ref for 2/3 out of 11 tries. This whole thing is a di...

Never thought I'd say this but I'm looking forward to the new Robert Pattinson film Cosmopolis. Cronenberg does very good films sci-fi/horror/fantasy (Scanners, Rabid, Existence, Videodrome, The Fly) but his thrillers/dramas are rather hit and miss... Cosmopolis has Juliette Binoche and I may watch...
