Re: Melbourne Rebels... SAVED?!
There isn't any certainty overseas for lower ranked players in Australia or New Zealand. Brad Shields came back to the Canes for certainty after his club in the UK collapsed. He was representing England not to long ago. Understand that mate, but there are still a lot of positions overseas that pay ...

Make it clear, I don't want to see Rebels(or any rugby club anywhere) fold, but the argument of whetjher players would all flee overseas? The best committee to get on is the judiciary! Not paid obviously but we got free tickets to every match at Eden Park (including test matches) for years. They discontinued the free tickets thing for SR in my last year but man it was a great gig. Geez mate, should of thought of something like that!!...

Re: Melbourne Rebels... SAVED?!
Well I have heard and read on a couple of forums the problems etc of moving Rebels etc (mainly because the posters would find it harder to get to stadium), but I am of the positive school of thought, if there's a chance of saving the club sounds bloody good to me. Work around the problems. I know fr...

Re: The Crusaders 2024 Thread
I'm making a call based on who I think is the best player to wear 10 for the AB's. You're obviously happy to have McKenzie, Perofeta and Cameron leading the All Blacks around the field from 10? I don't think Mo adds that much to that group, certainly not enough to overhaul our whole system. Our sys...

Pretty harsh on Reihana. He's barely played. I thought he was looking good in the first game before he was injured. For me he's certainly the player with the most potential out of him, Kemara, Burke and Hohepa.

Understand what you saying Merlin, but that would really make no difference, Burke is probably getting a shit load more money in NH than any super team would or could pay him. The waiting around for another scrum is what makes rugby, rugby? 15% of the game is spent forming scrums - is this what makes rugby, rugby? What is it that makes rugby, rugby, if it’s not one team attacking with the ball while the other defends and competes for possession? Scrums. Lineouts. Rucks. ...

I must admit to being stoked at Palmy how well the Canes went. I can say who starts at 9 or 10, will not be too big a difference, but if the pack can win lightning ball like, they did on Friday, will be the difference. Precisely. Shipping 28 points, in the last 45 minutes of the game, had my nerves jangling. I liked the look of TJ (someone said keeping Roigard honest), Morgan, Sinkinson and Godfrey in the backs. I've always been a supporter of playing local players during home games in their province, as they tend to bring their A-game in those games.
