Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
I'm trying to think if there has ever been a rugby match as intense as that one? Certainly none NZ have been involved in. There was absolutely no let up.... and I'm glad the ref did his best to let it flow... Carley would have blown his pea out of it's whistle...but instead it was like watching two...

Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
Well I didn’t think Ireland would soak up all that power from SA, absolute credit to them. Think they will go all the way now. Ireland are most certainly the best team but it's really hard to bet against France at home, especially a French team which have a winning record against Ireland over the l...

Re: Antoinee Dupont gone???
If he doesn't make it back, himself and Ntamack will be on some mission for the next RWC. Dupont might well turn out to be the Messi of rugby until this last finally won a RWC which means a guy which was considered by many as the best player we've ever seen (and in Dupont's case, at least among the...

Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
Great intensity. France will kill both of them I think France have a level no other team can go to. I most of all think France are playing at home and that in itself is a massive advantage, even more so in France's case. Plus of course having DuPont (if he comes back in time). This said, collective...

Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
This feels like a World Cup final. Serious tension. If we can keep lineout steady I think we should win now. Proper game of rugby. I love the intensity. South Africa need to up their game. Their ball is being slowed down at the breakdown and then, their runners ended up isolating themselves. That I...

Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
NZ ain't beating either of these teams. Not sure France will either. Ridiculous they are in the same pool. You just can't bet against the best French team of all time playing at home, even more so if DuPont comes back. We saw in the last world cup that teams can't consistently play at the highest i...

Ireland have lost all their line outs so far.

Re: Pool B. Who do you prefer playing in the QF?
I might be biased but If I were an Irish, SA or Scottish fan (ok, perhaps not the Scottish fans considering they've never beaten NZ), I would still answer NZ. Home advantage really shouldn't be underestimated in a competition like that especially with French teams (our crowds are so passionate), not...

Re: Antoinee Dupont gone???
This RWC has faded away from France through injury. No one can overcome the amount of key injuries they have. Absolutely brutal. Been building for 3 or 4 years for this Spine of the team? Marchand Willemse Aldritt DuPont Ntmack Maybe Ramos? I still think they have enough. Aldritt should be fine, re...

Re: Antoinee Dupont gone???
If he doesn't make it back, himself and Ntamack will be on some mission for the next RWC. Well, they can be as fired up as possible but it's frigging hard to project that far, especially when you look at how dangerous professional rugby has become and even more so to hugely targeted players like Du...

Re: Antoinee Dupont gone???
Im sure he will be willing to take the biggest risks anyway , especially with a home RWC.
He might play other RWCs but he will never play again another home RWC and that will surely be enough of a motivation in itself for him to take big risks

Well... Impressive display by the Boks. Their power drained Scotland energy. Their fitness meant their rush defense kept going for 80 minutes and there were always 3 Boks at the breakdown before the first Scottish cleaner could come in support to the tackled player. It's not only about their power, they have pretty fast blokes which also helps to make their defense so rock solid.

When I remember how much our scrum struggled against the Scottish scrum and when I see how SA easily deal with it, it makes me worry about our scrum if we face them.

This one was not even a yellow in my book.
It just can't be more accidental....and to make it even worse, the guy who got the yellow risked his health far more than the attacking player on that play.

IRB thinks that making the game safer at all cost will attract more people to rugby but that's exactly the reverse that will happen in the long run.

Ban red cars - interesting I said "ban stupid red cards like the Steward or the curry ones", not the fair ones OK, just "stupid" cards - interesting Stupid in term of how they're given, obviously not stupid from the players which should be punished severely especially if it's dangerous and reckless

I'm of the opinion that all reds should be 20 minutes and then they are allowed a sub (but the player that was red carded cannot enter the game again) I've been saying for years that it's the way it should be done but some stupid people answered to me that it's not punishing enough for the whole team

Imagine guys like curry who have been training so hard for months of preparation and who get their dreams and hard work destroyed for a split second accident.
Rewatching Carreras's foul play, it looks actually far dirtier than Curry's foul so if he doesn't get a red, that's bullshit logic
