Re: Official NFL 2019
Rams will take that ugly win over the Bears. Our Oline has been horrible all year and with 3 starters out, expectations were for Mack to kill Goff but the replacements played the best game of the year. Goff had time and protection....and was still pretty average :? Gurley had 25 carries but also loo...

Re: The masses against the (political) classes in Hong Kong
2 weeks ago things were far quieter than now so I'm not surprised it didn't seem much then. Also the real violence is happening away from central and TST: Hung Hom, Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long, Shatin, Tung Chung - not really places the sex tourists frequent

The footage of them setting the guy on fire is horrific. Totally unjustified and one of the most callous things I've seen. Yup the protestors are now just a bunch of common violent criminals. I don't know what goes through a persons mind to think it is ok to put someone on fire as part of a protest...

Rams fall to the Steelers. 9 points from our D, 3 from our O. Story of our season. Goff is a shadow of last year's player without a solid O-line and the separation created by Gurley and the play action. Worryingly with the amount of money sunk into Gurley and Goff, we look pretty hamstrung for the ...

Re: Saracens punished -35 points and £5m
Born in Watford and a rugby mad kid, no real surprise that I became a Sarries fan at a young age. Showing my (relative) youth, I remember vividly the first time my old man took me to a game, to find Michael Lynagh apologetically giving out programmes, the game having been cancelled due to Princess ...

Re: Saracens punished -35 points and £5m
Assuming Saracens are forced to offload players to fit under the rules, which clubs have any sort of space (never mind willingness) to accommodate more salary? I guess unlike the England players, Koch, Figallo, Skelton etc. can head to the T14 and Liam Williams has supposedly already gone back to W...

Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2019?
The saga is pretty slow at times, there are some chapters where very little seems to happen - if what you want to see is regular descriptions of wars and battles first and foremost then they aren't there - although I've only read the first two books so far. There is a concentration in the saga on t...

Don't know much about The Witcher, never read the books nor played the games, but I heard there'd be monster hunting in it which I'm always down for. Alas, not much evidence of that in the trailer that just dropped looked a lot more human vs. human with some royalty chucked in - attempting to ape G...

IMO, Rassie lulled EJ into complacency with his "honest Boerseun openness" and then changed the gameplan on England Possibly. Always better to play the underdog as well. Which seems to bring the best out of most teams. SA certainly spread the ball more than they have done all tournament, though to ...

It's a cracking try. Poor match-up by England exploited beautifully. I was howling at the TV live because it looked forward to my one-eye but that side-on angle shows it's clearly just a nice flat pop pass having drawn the man.

Yeah no thanks Mourinho. Better him than bumbling on with Emery but there must be a dozen better candidates, especially long-term. Why not give Eddie Howe a crack (assuming he'd leave his beloved Bournemouth) or Marco Rose who seems to be the new Klopp in Germany.

Re: RWC 2019 Final: England vs South Africa Match Thread
England know all about reaching world cup finals without playing any stylish rugby (hello 1991, 2007), so we'd be the first to tip the cap to the Boks for making it through. Plenty of teams play dull rugby and never even make it past the quarterfinals. It does seem appropriate for England to be play...

Soz am tired - I meant each winner, did they beat the other top teams ? Eg Eng in 2003 beat Aus, SA and France , but didn’t meet NZ No, no winner has ever gone through all 3 other members of the Big 4. Seemingly the game was gonna be a close England win. A close NZ win or a dominant NZ win. While 19-7 might signal a close game to those not watching, but it was a supremely dominating display from England. So much respect for your team. Itoje set the standard early and kept the intensity. Pretty shitty early reporting on this. If the driver just picked up a container and had no knowledge of the actual contents then he has been eviscerated by the media. You would hope he hadn't been arrested just for discovering the bodies though. Arresting just gives the police time to question him....
