Re: Another kiwi declares for Ireland
Pretty sure its only Ireland and Scotland with official project player programs, its shameful, spiv-like behaviour Australia and France too. The JIFF has rules laid out in it to identify young players get them in to academies so they're eligible for France and don't count as a foreign player in the...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
Brad Davies leaves Wasps & signs NDC with Wales & Ospreys - good news for Welsh Rugby  Bit of a coup for the Ospreys (especially seeing how well Wasps are doing) they've got a nice collection of 2nd rows now. Also a bit of a slap in the face for the Blues - They could sure do with some bee...

Re: Top 30 Players in each position (PRO12)
Some odd results as a result of lack of game time/playing in differnet positions, centres look most accurate, barring saili, what a useless buy he was    Hardly a surprise to see jenkins and cubby top flankers, mustve won more turnovers than every other flanker in the league combined ...

Re: Another kiwi declares for Ireland
Thank you for that  I meant the mass recent targeting by the IRFU and SRU of so called "project players" by offering lucrative contracts the SH cannot match with the sole purpose of being an international player. Their teams are filled with imports, for comparison, Jake Ball who is in no way we...

Re: Pro 12 - North Americans, South Africans...join the part
Could their soup teams be disbanded, and their top teams from CC play in an extended play off with the pro 12 top teams? Not a full intergration(avoid travelling) . Why SA hasn't implanted a kiwi/aus/wales system to prevent mass exodus is beyond me

Re: Another kiwi declares for Ireland
From a welsh perspective, the only non irish player worth a damn is aki(fine player fair play)
But why do you need to poach so much? the closest we've come is Anscombe, who lets be fair has a more honest heritage than all of your poaches.
Do you not lose identity with the national team?

Re: Pro 12 - North Americans, South Africans...join the part
NA wouldnt bring anything, would the saffers? I was under the impression they were pillaged just as bad as the kiwis, but their depth isnt as good. pro 12 would suit the saffers, more free flowing than prem and more power based than SR, albeit at lower quality(SR, that is)

Re: Historic day for North Wales rugby
Give it a rest lad, the prem is hardly HQ stuff now is it, and the championship is even worse. I know RGC are the centre of NW ruggers, but one team in 16 in the north isn't really an argument is it?

Re: Residency Rule could be Scrapped.
All I know is given the chance I would play for wales any day of the week, but slapping on an italian jersey would mean nothing to me. I can understand someone who will never be good at rugby playing for say luxembourg so they can say so, but as far as competition, i couldnt care less, so these lads...

Re: ABs vs Wales Series Discussion Thread
Although it'll be a straightforward boring 3-0 to NZ there wont be any hammerings, our defence is just too good. Had anyone else done what NZ did in the last 10mins we played it would be called sheer luck(please, that bounce by bb?) Even when we lose and play horribly we can still keep the other tea...

As an antidote to those hoping for a close tour, and in stark brutal contrast to New Zealand's situation...in his interview after the squad announcement, Gatland said "There’s probably not one player in Wales at the moment who you’d say his form is so good you can’t leave him out." , which is about...

Re: The Pro 12 practical solutions thread
None of this will provide any solution to the main problem, which is the lack of tv income. The tournament is not going to provide enough money to the competing teams no matter who referees the games, or what time they kick off. The true solution is for the Unions to start lobbying to scrap the Pro...

Re: The Pro 12 practical solutions thread
Participating unions need to all work very close together so they can enforce liek the FIR/RFU, I.e all at the same mercy. 1. Cut the italians and dragons(for a different 4th welsh team, but they've had longer and done less than treviso) 2. all teams must have 16-18 Celtic players in a match day 23 ...

James out isaacs, didn't think I'd be missing cuthbert any time soon but injuries this week have decimated our backs. Such a shame, thought the blues could really taken the spreys to the dogs for once.
