Re: The Training Thread
Point taken on the food front Bobby but I just have to do what works for me and right now that is shedding weight ASAP. I have 16 weeks to shed 10kgs at least. I realise it'd be much healthier if I trained all year moderately rather than polarise it into going mad v bingeing but thats just my mental...

Re: In Your Experience, Which Nation Has The Friendliest Peo
Nepal (Maoist insurgents and fuckwit trekkers aside) is pretty high on the friendliness stakes. Kathmandu has lost a lot of it's earlier friendliness, but it's still a lot better than almost any other major city. Ghana is a great call, especially compared to some of the nearby countries. Yep the Gh...

Fantastic show. How many programmes can you say are genuinely laugh out loud funny and you can watch with your mum. Have to say I normally hate child actors but those in Modern Family are very very good and actually add to the show.

Re: Official Skiing and Snowboarding Thread

January and February are pretty much guaranteed to be brilliant snow everywhere but it will be very cold and usually windy with a lot of snowstorms so visibility can be suspect. I ...

Re: Hurling - The fastest game on grass.
How many minutes does a game go for? 35 minutes a side Cheers.... Aussie Rules goes 100 minutes plus time out of play. Considering that, I'd say it's faster. And harder. And more skillful. Sorry but absolutely no chance its faster or more skillful and I say that as a total neutral who enjoys both.

Re: Hurling - The fastest game on grass.
At the Asian games they always put together a bit of an exhibition match from the lads who can hurl from all the teams. Am always surprised that some of the lads who are awesome GAA players cant hurl for shit and vice versa. I had a wee bash but fcuk me its one of those games that if you didnt play ...

Re: Official Skiing and Snowboarding Thread
The big thing about Whistler- Blackcombe - and the thing I found myself explaining to locals virtually everytime I met them - is not the powder, the moguls, the back-country, or the groomed slopes. All resorts have these in varying degrees, and unless you are really into one type of skiing/snowboar...

HKCJ - as lovely as that P3 is, do you really think you can face 4-6 hours in an aero position on a TT bike? 4-6 hours?! Sadly Joost I think it will be more like 6-9!! Will have to do a lot of core work to get the most out of it but I prob spend 60% of my time in saddle in aero position anyway on m...
