Well, in some relatively good news, ONS data for w/e 19th June shows excess deaths for that week marginally under the 5 year average.

A total of approx 10,700 deaths across the UK that week, of which around 850 were Covid19

The single biggest thing that's different to how Scotland has performed vs England is when the lockdown started relative to each countries curve. The UK effectively locked down at the same time - but England, and London in particular, was already much further along the infection curve than Scotland....

Thanks Saint. I'm aware of the T cell response but wasn't aware it was possible to confer 'immunity', more that it just meant you had a strong immune system against all comers. So, you'd still be hopeful that those who had a strong T cell response wouldn't be able to pass it on if they got it again...
