It's subjective, people have different tastes in music. I like most music and can enjoy a good tune. I probably wont play some stuff over and over but I can appreciate it for what it is.

Top end ones probably worth it. Wife bought a cheap one a while ago, it's been stuck under a bed somewhere computing how the fok it'll get out. Also the cheaper ones take long charge for only 30 mins battery life. Ours has not been missed since AWOL.
