Yeah but rugby players need a week between games. And rugby players don't need two weeks between games ... The RWC traded that off. You can see why it was done but the overlong format didn't quite nail it. Cricket players can play a few games a week. The CWC teams are averaging a game every 4.5 day...

I would also reduce the bench back down to six players again ... Still with three compulsory front rowers. Those fatties can't be expected to last a full game, but there shouldn't be other players crying off after 45 minutes. 5 players on the bench, just the 1 prop so they'll have to cover both sid...

It's not cheating. It might not be in the spirit of the game but I have no problem with it. Better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully Fozzie isn't too proud to adapt and take advantage of the rules. Whatever the issue is how to close the loophole without encouraging teams to ignore head injuries , and there there's a problem Therein lies the conundrum.
