Re: F ing panic attacks!
I started getting anxiety attacks a few years back. All a bit peculiar because they'd mostly affect me when I wasn't feel anxious or stressed, often when I was just sat down watching TV. All of a sudden I'd get a feeling of impending doom/hopelessness and a minute or so later I'd have a bad episode ...

Hard to fathom - it's not as if these spinners are devilish - Raina is only a part timer. Maybe they just don't use their feet enough. Run rate dropped to 4.2 now.cfm93 wrote:97-3, how are England this shit at playing spin?

WASP suggesting 302, but it doesn't take account of our abilities against spin in the middle overs. And, on this pitch, it won't be enough.

If we're going to get a humping anyway, can we at least select a really attacking and dynamic team of young 'uns that might come good with a few years of ODIs under their belts? Not a whole lot of point having Cook, Bell, et al scratching around for a bit and then getting their stumps knocked over ...

We really aren't very good at this ODI stuff !!! 84/5 off 22.3. Buttler gone - we don't appear to have any answer to the middle over spinners. Jadega has 2 wickets from 9 balls - and we all know he's not a great spinner . Can Stokes get off the mark :? Disagree with this. In Tests outside Asia, sur...

Trouble is, with the squad they've selected it doesn't really give them much in reserve to change the way the team plays. Drop Jordan - he was awful. 12 wides FFS. Bring in Gurney, at least he has the variation of being a left armer. Can't drop Cook, so maybe give Bell a rest and bring in Moeen at 3...

That Lords' test seems a long time ago now.
Hope they realise they'll have to work much harder than that in the future.
Bizarre how players like Kohli, who did well against SA, become walking wickets. I doubt the Indians will be pushing for 5 match series any more.

Are India really poor or is England playing really well Ovals? The ball is certainly doing a fair bit out there today. Indian bats really aren't used to these conditions as they don't get to play over here as much as they used to. (IPL keeps players at home more) Don't think any of the wickets have...

Steyn's figures are massively flattered by his record against the likes of Bangladesh (17.18), New Zealand (17.05) and the West Indies (18.68). He averages 32.63 versus England and 27.13 versus Australia. Not so crash hot. It's also fair to say that South African pitches are generally quicker and s...

Posters being a bit unfair to the Indians here. The ball is swinging and seaming all over the place, and the bounce isn't consistent. And they're up against one of the best bowlers in these conditions. I think any side would struggle. To be honest they have to be quite good to get the edges. 44/6 as...

Don't wish to open the Lords debate up again and time will tell, but sounds like a good decision. If we bowl well with a tinge of green and some swing it could work out well.. Not sure why the Saffas are getting their precious knickers in a twist over this. Steyn is clearly the more effective bowler. But that doesn't mean he is the most skillfull. If someone comes along able to bowl at 100+mph and can get it reasonably straight, I daresay he'd be pretty handy - but it wou...
