Been under the cosh for the whole half - two opportunistic tries and a 14/7 lead.

Losing the collisions though and leaving gaps all over the place - need to make the tackles stick.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Mercer should be in the elite squad. I’d take him ahead of CCS, Underhill, Roots and Ben Curry. Here is an uneducated attempt at the A team, subject to fitness, and assuming that more senior players like Launch, Mercer, J Hill, Rapava-R, Joe Coka won’t want to be goofin’ around in the A team Props ...

we can't really claim injury issues. Hansen and JOB...anyone else? Re: ChamCR4 Leicester Tigers vs Leinster

Leicester will have to do very well to just pick up a losing BP. Leinster have given away as many as 13 penalties, free kicks can be added to that. If they do that again every hope for tiggers. Leicester had shown some reasonable form up until getting totally walloped by La Rochelle last weekend. T...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

That’s not really reflected in where they are played for England though. Not in the backrow, anyway. We are probably going to have a lock at 6, a 6 at 7 and apparently a specialist flanker at 8, where he’s played most of his England caps That's absolutely not true, at all. Earl has 18 England caps,...

Don't think smith 10 and smith 15 is out of the question at some point. It would be a bit mental on two grounds: 1. Magic Marcus didn't exactly sparkle in the one serious test he played there (I'm not counting Chile, or the 3rd place match) 2. There are two specialist 15s in the squad, and Daly who...

Quite encouraging to see he's picked many of the form players - potentially quite an exciting squad. Equally, there's the potential, in there, for a very predictable side playing like we did last season.

The overall squad maybe a bit lacking but that's a decent starting line up if it is coached well. It's not a terrible XV, but realistically the best we can hope for is 4th. And that's only because we've got Scotland and Italy at home. "Scotland" have a strong squad with some more poaches added. Wat...

Steward is also a good pick if you have a 9/10 who can get the backline moving, and you're not desperately looking to your 15 to create as a crutch for their lack of ambition. It would help if, as Quins and Saints do, England used both 9 and 10 as playmakers. England only seem to want the 9 to shov...
