Re: All Blacks v Samoa

Samoa has probably poached more of our players than any other nation, not sure that we should reward them for this by playing a test in their backyard, it sends out the wrong message.

Re: All Blacks v Samoa

I don't see how playing Samoa in Apia can be considered 'growing the game'. It will just drag down the figures for the number of people who watched the AB's in a calendar year. AB's in USA will get a bigger crowd than AB's in Samoa which is a sad indictment of Samoa where rugby is the #1 sport. If t...

Re: ... well, the "who is the best fullback" thing is answer

Much as I rate B. Smith, Folau is just freakish at times and would be the player I would have. Willie is a breath of fresh air for the Saffers, but I'm not so sure he doesn't stand out so much just because he is so different to the typical Saffer FB. I mean Kirchner is still considered the back up.....

Not red carding a player for eye-gouging was probably a bigger case of bottling it.

Vincent Munro still gets a gig. Outfucking ragious Not as outrageous as Veldsman still being there, the guy who wrote the book on TMO incompetency. :x Sure you don't mean Johann Meuwesen? No, Veldsman has been making up his own laws of the game probably longer and more frequently than any other TMO.

Been tasting some more unexpected things lately. A white (chardonnay, 2010) and red (shiraz, 2009) from Chile, winery is called Montes Alpha, very nice. 15€ bottles but worth it. Quite a finding with a Pinot Noir from Domaine de l'Aigle near Roquetaillade, what a great wine. Tried their Chardonnay ...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

I think some are being a bit harsh on the players, they are obviously playing to a set defensive plan and quite honestly it is too narrow for a team that uses the width of the pitch like NZ does. What is disappointing is that England were exposed in the same way in the AIs and they tried to play the...

Watched the Crockett YC again and the ref clearly got that wrong too. Difficult to see a better example of the right way to drive through a maul, at no time did he unbind or come in from the side. In the end it seems the ref just looked at the player further most through the mall and decided he must...

Re: All Blacks v England 3rd Test Match Thread

England is going to be massively up for the game, they desperately need to take something out of the tour. My feeling is they will 'resort to type' and go for a power backline and look to the forwards to grind out a win, which in many ways will be a pity as they have shown a lot of promise in many a...

Re: Official IRB Junior World Cup Thread 2014

Most disappointing from a NZ perspective was the lack of accuracy in our play, something which is really our hallmark. A little more accuracy and they certainly could have won that. It's called pressure. NZ are no less immune to it than anyone else. Maybe less so: NZ so used to winning and being in...

Pretty fair ratings but not quite sure about a 10 for Smith. He was very good but not a 10 good. Very pleased with Coles as well, especially after his underwhelming performance last week. Same as last w/e... Close until the dying minutes and then the AB's will pip England by 6 points or less. Yeah, this.
