Re: Mungoball's Global Contraction III - Revenge of the Mung

Offering money to a whole team isn't underhand. Asking welsh union clubs to switch codes isn't underhand. The players and the clubs all had choices, some chose to switch, some chose not to. There is nothing underhand about that. You don't see it wrong because they weren't rugby league clubs or play...

Or at the very least forcibly merged into the Crusaders? Against their will if needed. Apparently Taranaki have been desperate to host a S15 franchise for years. They have a passionate fan base, a dependable supply of local talent and most importantly assurances of sound financial backing. Meanwhil...

Watched After Earth, because there was nothing else worth watching showing. It's stupid. Like, really really stupid. First up, it's a kids film with a kid taking the lead. Smith Sr does very, very little. So it's on Smith Jr's shoulders along with his annoying accent. The setting sounds decent, unt...

I have the nook with the built in backlight, best gadget i've ever owned :) Main thing I like is with the books on the memory card being able to browse them how I ordered them rather than just lumping them all together which they do on the hard drive. Re: Mungoball's Global Contraction III - Revenge of the Mung

The Country Rugby League has scrapped plans to take next year's City-Country clash to Broken Hill in fear of a repeat of the disappointing crowd that turned up at Coffs Harbour on Sunday. The unflattering crowd of 4635 has again raised questions about the legitimacy of the game and the importance o...

Great series until they wrap it up, talk about bare bones writing to finish out a franchise when they have completely run out of ideas. For 3.5 seasons great though.

Re: Mungoball's Global Contraction III - Revenge of the Mung

As someone who has been to Fiji it amazes me that the NRL scouts have not set up permanent camp there. I watched a couple of games of League and one Union and was impressed with the skill, athelitisism and enthusiasm of the locals. In the resort I stayed at they showed an NRL match one day and all ...

I can't decide if I liked or disliked it though. I disliked it in the worst way because it was a film that almost had so much goodness in it and that just makes the horrid retarded writing stand out as worse. Its a bit weird because it could have been a fantastic movie but instead it just isn't. I'...

Re: Prometheus (likely spoilers herein do not click if not s

From reading this . Why did the science crew take off their helmets just because the atmosphere was similar? Shouldn't they be smarter than that? They should but it's a filum so filum logic applies. But all films make perfectly logical sense, hence why we actually don't have Sci-Fi or horror movies...

What's the point of this? Any regular posters already know what all these mean, and any newbs can just make do with picking it up as they go along. Saw it in 3D earlier tonight. Not bad but as others have said already, not a patch on Alien or Aliens but plenty of plot holes. Some questions: Why bother casting Guy Pearce as the old man when they could just cast an old actor? What was the giant engineer doing at the beginning on the waterfall? W...

Not read the thread but is it worth watching this film in 3D or will it not make any real difference? Going to see it tonight. toga, 3d would be better for this sort of movie. Would disagree, Scott barely uses 3D throughout the movie so it wouldn't make a lot of difference to catch the non-3D versi...

The leaked plot from Aint It Cool sounds a hell of a lot better and more coherent. "Earth. Year 2058. I could be wrong but i could see this share price rising pretty quickly even at this very high valuation as you will probably get quite a lot of people just wanting to be part of it, 900 million users etc. The share price wont reflect the under lying value though.
