Re: OFFICIAL EU/UK referendum thread

June 1940: Britain’s forgotten attempt to build a European Union As the UK is heading for a hard Brexit, Andrea Bosco uncovers a largely forgotten attempt by Winston Churchill’s War Cabinet to build a federal union with France. The British proposal included a plan for joint organs of defence, for c...

Re: OFFICIAL EU/UK referendum thread

I'm sure the Eastern Europeans won't like the restrictions to free movement as they won't be able to send all their unskilled workers here and send money back home. Ironically Eastern Europeans are the most xenophobic nations in Europe but they don't like to be at the receiving end. I'm sure it'll ...

Ryanair 2016 : Before June's Brexit referendum, Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary insisted that the airline would shun investment in the UK on the back of a "leave" result. He repeated that following the vote. Mr O'Leary previously said that Ryanair - whose fleet is rapidly expanding - would ...

Re: Hanging a heavy shelf - advice needed

There is zero chance the plasterboard will permanently hold a shelf that is being constantly used. Also you have identified it's weight, but not accounted for the distance out from the wall the shelf will overhang. As has already been identified you should find the wooden stud then screw into that....
