Re: Pressure mounting over Washington Redskins name
What about the Kansas City Chiefs then? Atlanta Braves, Chicago Blackhawks... And the Cleveland Indians, Florida Seminoles, SDSU Aztecs, etc. The difference is none of those would be considered pejorative names for Native Americans, unlike Redskin. Similar to how Notre Dame can be the Fighting Iris...

The unbiased New Zealand based Mark Reason weighs in: Of course the decision to send off Jean Deysel for treading on Jordan Taufua's face was correct, but why did the TMO and ref not take further action? Why was Taufua not given a yellow card for a blatant professional fou One of many problems with ...

The SiL needs to go. However if putting a hit out on her is not realistic (pssst I know people  ), then I see a couple of alternatives (which have already been stated): 1) appeal to the parent in the FiL. Tough position to be in - looks like you will have to go with what your wife wants to do. Your in-laws obviously consider "family" to be the extended family rather than each family separately. From this perspective it makes more sense for you all to be together. Of course, this perspective does not ...

Re: Vibram FiveFingers - exposed as a fraud
From chatting to our club physio he was saying that kids should play barefoot as much as they can. The shape of the bones in a person's feet is massively influenced by how those feet are treated as a child when they're developing. Not wearing shoes ingrains a better running technique, but also form...

A word of caution - let the bone set properly. I broke my collarbone playing rugby when in highschool (who hasn't?) Of course I did not really listen to the doctor so the bone did not set straight. Not a big deal in itself, however the effects that the offset causes back issues. Nothing serious but ...
