Re: You Tube vs Amazon
Pretty sure Amazon didn't sell Apple TVs 1st party for ages until very recently. Amazon Prime TV's app is on Apple TV from today so they've clearly made up.

It’s native on LG, saves you using the now tv Roku box. You can get it on android too if you have a Sony. What’s really annoying is that some Samsung models apparently do have the NowTV app My Samsung does. Never used it though so don't know if it's any good. Why would Samsung object to having all ...

My Samsung smart TV also pulled YouTube for some reason a while back. I see it available on newer Samsung model smart TV’s. Cvnts probably want me to upgrade my TV. That is pretty disgusting. Could be that Google pulled support for whatever reason and it disappeared during a software update. Google...

What's the qualifying process for this? Georgia over some of the more established sides is nice to see but a bit of a surprise. I think there are 2 tournaments with P&R between them. What is it with the stupid qualifying system, why not have a QF stage? So they can have tier play-offs 9-12, 5-8 and...

Re: Quade goooooooooooooooooooone!!!
I thought 5/8th came about because kiwis were not very imaginative. As in, there is a half back. There is a full back. The flyhalf is between them, but not half way, hence 5/8ths of the way. If you have a halfback, centre and wing 3/4s (as opposed wing-forwards) and a (8/8) fullback, the gap betwee...

God I hate social media. It's full of people like this. Ben is such a common name too, there were probably a dozen of them on that train . Exactly. "The Poachening" continues in the Wesht. Davies off to the Ospreys. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/42229155 This seems an odd dynamic to me. The Scarlets are clearly in the ascendancy and are building something potentially a little special down there - defending Pro14 champions and provider...

Normally you'd just take the ABs starting XV and then generously add any foreigners you think would like a Make-a-wish day playing with their heroes [/preciousmode], but it really hasn't been a standout year for the ABs, so it's interesting to see the other names getting mentioned. Hogg or Folau at...

I wouldn't have Russell in the team, but I think I could make a decent argument for: Hogg - Obvs Huw Jones - 7 scores in 11 starts, scored in all 3 Autumn Tests Hamish Watson - Has been class in every game Jonny Gray - Was asked to get about more and scored against NZ and Oz, his tackle stats are s...

Re: Official Rugby League World Cup Thread
The Union side may occasionally have a few northerners but let's not overstate how big union is in the north, it's much more popular in the south. Of course it is, south and midlands. Football will always strangle any sport in the northern cities and large towns. The north is hugely overrepresented...

Re: Long kick-offs: Are they effective tactics?
I'd rather start an attack off tail lineout ball with all the defensive forwards jammed against the touchline and running at a backline 10m back than the alternative. The team kicking off might have a strong driving maul. The weather might be awful and the wind favourable making successful exits har...

I think that last play sums it up: England players aren't good enough at instant decision making in open play as they mostly take the tackle. Not necessarily a criticism, just an observation. Fixed for you. Having the ball is more important in league than union most of the time. It's like critisisi...

You have to go through the line in RL if in front of the ball. You can't just hang around in the defensive line. It's a clearer rule (good) but does lead to some odd results (bad).ScarfaceClaw wrote:How was that not a try. He was never going to get within a mile of that Aussie.

There would be no need for an apology as ref for awarding that. The Aussie cheating on the ground was deliberate, blatantly using his back to obstruct the opponent and his path to goal. Exactly. The RFU were screwed similarly when it suggested bowl and plate comps like 7s. I still feel that was a great idea. More rugby for more teams in front of enthusiastic crowds. As it turns out England, if like 2015, would have been in the Bowl. It would have been a great success. But it was deemed a r...
