Re: Sturgeon, Covid and Scottish political stuff

Agree darg, I don't see the problem. Scotland is 96% white but why should pictures of Scottish people be 96% white? Why is it important? We have a proud record of emigration to Australia, NZ, Canada, USA. And a not proud record sometimes... We of all people should know the great contributions immig...

Re: Coronavirus Thread. Virus v humans

I was living in Spain for the bulk of this, but moved to Edinburgh two weeks ago. It's been very interesting to see the differences. People are WAY more relaxed here. Shops are all masks, and gloves and copious disinfectant gel in Spain but here both punters and staff don't seem to be taking any me...

Re: Coronavirus Thread. Virus v humans

Sweden should have done more to combat the coronavirus and prevent a much higher national Covid-19 death rate than in neighbouring countries, the man behind the Public Health Agency’s pandemic strategy said today. Nearly 4,500 Swedes have died in the outbreak, a higher mortality rate than in Denmar...

Re: Boris goooooone or just Cummings?

Sometimes things aren't clear, like stay at home to protect the NHS in order to save lives, stay at home if you or someone in your household is symptomatic. Some people can get really muddled up around even these clear messages and do some spectacularly stupid things, like Cummings as an example. A...

Odd isn't it that the conversation between Conte and Johnson was the same day that Vallance was on Today saying that herd immunity was the approach. So no context, no reading the actual minutes, mind made up. That’s the critical thought I expect from you. Don't you think that's an odd coi...

A Gatland Lions team playing a match at BTM really makes me feel like we are having our noses rubbed in it in a ‘see what you could have won’ manner. Key SAGE members saying lockdown being released too soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of scientists on SAGE didn't think so but it shows the illogicality of "following the science" as a response to what was being done because the science is far from agreed by scientists.
