Lots of nice stuff on here lately. Here's a thinly-veiled 'I went to New York recently' post. I was taking a photo of the painting when this chap rode past - I liked the end result: http://i.imgur.com/3CsiEQb.jpg I was just doing a long exposure of the train but got this person between carriages: ht...

Re: Weber BBQ's

Well, on the back of this thread, I have bought myself a 57cm weber charcoal bbq. It was on sale at b&q for £95. (NZ$183, which was nice.) I am on holiday next week so I am going to spend it in an alcoholic stupor, burning pieces of meat over charcoal, in my garden. Good plan. Definitely experiment...

I quite liked the Haller/Bosch books by Connelly, I also enjoyed the Bernie Gunther series by Philip Kerr. Gunther is a PI based in Germany during WW2 and gets involved with a few big events in WW2.

Our local bee keeper would half fill a beer bottle with petrol then push it top down into the hole. The fumes kill the wasps and the bottle plugs it so the wee bastards can't get out.

I'll come along - it's an 11.05 k/o and looks like the first fitba game on sky is 12.30, (Leeds U v Burnley) and no SPL game til 3pm so we might be in luck. Just gotta find somewhere that will show the Rugby.

Edit: Man U v Spurs kicks off at 12.45, the rugby should be done by then though.

One thing that makes me laugh is that in NZ (and I assume Oz as well) you can get pies at McDonald's. That tickles me for some reason. The baked beans you get as a side at KFC in the UK make me chuckle in a similar fashion. Check out the Fairlie Bakehouse if you're passing through South Canterbury;...

My siblings and I had them (grp recurve) as kids growing up in NZ - we only shot targets on hay bales but it was good fun. My olds still have my one, we hauled it out while I was home over xmas and had a go.
