Re: The Official Capt Hurricane Hurricanes vs Blues Match Thread.
Right call on Iose above. Higgins gets to start ahead of PUG which is a solid indication of just how good he is. I'm surprised he's stuck around as long as he has, he's on the wrong side of 25, played for the AB's, and yet barely features at this level, even though he's more than capable. Wouldn't ...

Re: OFFICIAL SR'24 Cpt Hurricane Canes vs Reds Thread, Sun 3 March (SUPER ROUND)
Decided to dwell a pause of two marching paces prior to bursting in to print. First and foremost, a cracker of a game. The score line belies the impact that defence had on this match. Both sides had to work hard to get the ball over the line. Bindi said it was a shame that one side had to win. Yeah...

Re: Pie Makers of Auckland
Chicken (or turkey), ham and leek. Secret ingredient - ginger. I'm working on a Chinese style BBQ pork pie. I need some veg because the first effort was too dense with meat. I have an idea though and then I will have the two best pies. Why? Seriously why? We have BBQ pork buns, just eat them. No ne...

Good win by Landers, tough match, feel for MP, had all the opportunities to put this one away but couldn't quite capitalise. Crowd looked animated. Some gutsy defence in there because those Moana Pasifika boys are big and go into contact fast. Better start for the Clan than last year. Can't see MP ...

So frustrating from the Rebs, simple fundamentals just go out the door everytime they get an opportunity to score some points… fuggin hell. Yep, it's frustrating, every single opportunity they've had, they've squandered immediately with a dumb offload, or no one turning up to the ruck, or a shit pa...

The Chiefs will have to play a lot better than that to win the title . Was last year their best effort ? We played crap and beat the playing thru Champs. Where in NZ are people voluntarily spending more than $8 on a pie? Glenorchy. A previously $9 Fairlie Pie is now $12. Fairlie Pies are nowhere near as good as a Fat Bastard which are $6-$6.50. Beehre is listed at 1.89m on the Blues site. Small for a modern lock. I can only presume that's a typo? He's more likely 1.98m and someone got the 9 and 8 back to front. That would make more sense. Tbf, he's listed everywhere as 6'3", has to be a typo, saw a picture of him next to Suafoa and he loo...

I originally thought the Chiefs would take this by 13+ but the closer it gets the more I think the Saders might take it based on nothing more than my bias. Stephenson is a tough one, on the back of his Super form last season, I was convinced he was a must in the All Blacks back three, right up till that first AB game, the Wallabies really targeted his side of the field.
